Shouldn't the chest in my great vault be tier?

Yeah but the raiding loot table is smaller. its 5/38 for my enh shaman vs 5 out of 80 or 85 for m+ and 5 out of presumably 42 for pvp. It just seems like blizzard learned nothing about rng again, which is weird because they pretty clearly scaled the entire patch with tier sets and double legendaries in mind, but those seem to be coming in at a snails pace unless you do everything in which case it might come in before you can spend the resources you already have on april 12th if your lucky.

when was reading comprehension removed from being taught in schools? with common core perhaps?

I think its fair to complain about since my definition of a few weeks ls less then a month. Like its great that they have catchup systems planned in advance, but the patch is coming in so slow I kinda regret playing it from the start instead of just unsubbing for two months and coming back when my time is respected.

I mean they just outright killed my offspec on the off chance I could get tier today so I was sort of blinded to how unlikely they made that because I can’t ele in m+ anymore.

How did any of the people who use this line survive in the early days of this game?

The ship of Theseus has long since sailed unless you somehow think classic, bc classic, and retail are the same game.

this is not the genre someone should be playing if they don’t want to dump tons of time into it. arpgs/shooters/lobby games of all kinds… play those. MMOs are not for people who think grinding and spending tons of time on stuff is “not respecting muh time.” they should respect their own time more and go play OW instead, imo.

Have you ever played the pachinko machine or wheel of fortune ?

Which is why there are now catch up mechanics and different ways to obtain tier. Back then, it was raid or die. Now, even my casual butt will be able to craft tier. So thanks for pointing out the differences!

So are you here to troll the thread or something? I understand that you are generally fine with how the game is, but I’m here to point out that one of the things they changed to make this patch appealing missed the mark for me. That tier is to be available from m+ and pvp caches was one of the “hey we’re listening” changes that blizzard made to make 9.2 appealing.

Note I’m not complaining about not having a four piece right now, but I do feel that by the time double legendaries come out most players who have actively filled out at least one line of the cache should have a two set, which is unlikely in the current system. It also hurts a fair bit to have the class I play nerfed, because tier when I’m not getting that four piece in the foreseeable future. Especially when content seems overtly tuned for double leggo+tier.

If the mythic+ vault route is too much RNG for 278 tier you can always quickly knock out the raid bosses that drop 278 tier directly.

I fail to see how pointing out that getting tier is going to be easy is trolling.

LOL you couldn’t be more wrong.

And it is available to you— in two different ways.

That’s not how the Vault works, nor has ever worked and we all know this.

I know nothing about nerfs, but you’ll be able to craft your tier in April. It’s not that far away. You’re in the same boat as every raider, PvPer and M+ runner.

I haven’t heard this.

Forgive me for not thinking this was:

Hence my complaint since this is the first time we’ve had tier without masterloot or bonus rolls or w/e. The vault as a means of delivering tier is a bit lacking. Case in point we had the azerite vendor for a reason. Which is not tier but was a very similar system.

Ele shaman just got nuked from orbit today.

M+ scaling got increased more then usual.

For what it’s worth I think they changed the mythic+ scaling from 3 key levels to 5 because mythic+ is kind of a joke at the level of rewards compared to raiding.

Virtually everyone wearing 278 gear will get it from mythic+ not the raid, especially tier which is backloaded to the later bosses.

Experiencing the available norm raid wings last week, yes it feels overtuned right now if you dont have the max m+ upgrades done. A lot of people I knw from other raid groups haven’t gotten past even the first or second normal boss. When we start getting the double leggo and tier things will normalize, and most of the raid will be on farm. Think this person might be overwhelmed about how this is panning out. Did a couple of m+ last night with friends, we’re all fairly well equipped and could rip through 14’s and higher…during season 2. Not so now. we tried a couple of 10’s and didnt make them, just completed. Whole new ball here.

The Vault is a bonus roll. One that guarantees you something. Good? No. But that’s essentially what it does

Bonus rolls were better in the sense that you could pick where you use them in addition to them existing alongside the box.

No, because tier loot is dropped on a separate table than what the caches use!

I see a handful of people saying they felt this raid tier was notably more challenging. As someone who’s raided every tier this expac, this raid has felt to be the easiest raid I’ve seen in a long time. To be fair, it is a personal accountability raid, and those tend to be divisive in that stronger players blow through it (we’re seeing this) and weaker players tend to get hung up (as you’re experiencing).

Though you don’t really need tier/double leggos to shine on this raid, as if you’re in the former camp, tightening up your play is going to have a far bigger impact than the borrowed power

Technically the raiding loot table is even smaller than that.

If you only kill 2 bosses on a difficulty only their loot and all 5 tier pieces are valid for that vault slot

It’s like 6% chance a slot will be tier piece. Its just rng that is making some players blessed and some cursed to not be as appealing to your groups.
