Should we tell Lirath?

The poor guy just didn’t move on to the Shadowlands, and seems to want to wait for his sisters to come back to him…

…should we tell him? That, it might not be for a real, real long time.

Does he even know what they did?

I do kinda wish we could sit him down and go “Ohh you are in for a shock there Lirath…put the harp down and get a stiff drink.”

It’s funny that Sylvanas went looking for Lirath in the afterlife when all she had to do was go home.

I’m sure there’s going to be a questline involving the three sisters coming together at Windrunner Spire which then enables Lirath to pass on.

Now I have to wonder, what covenant of the Shadowlands he’ll end up in.

I don’t think he’d want to be a Kyrian…perhaps a Venthyr? Hah imagine the shock if he ends up as a Necrolord.

Kael’thas will probably pull some strings to keep Lirath to himself in Revendreth.

Hopefully none of the 4 covenants we met during Shadowlands.

It’s said there are many different realms so we shouldn’t force souls to fit into the ones we know.

Who can blame him? I’d rather hang onto this world in undeath even if it means being stitched into Thaddius’ right buttcheek than go to the Shadowlands after seeing what all that is about.

Nah, he’ll just emo at us. Ignorance is bliss.

It’s really annoying how Blizzard does ghosts as a thing that just happens sometimes. People go to an afterlife when they die unless they have relevance to a main character, and their presence isn’t acknowledge or treated as something to resolve. Their dead brother is just there because exposition needs to happen, and we just don’t aknolwedge it when it’s happening or ever bring it up again.

The dungeon in general is just really weird. I was expecting a questline dealing with it and Lirath, even if it were a sidequest and not MSQ, but no there’s just a single quest outside the entrance asking you to go inside. No explanation for how and why Lirath is present.

Classic case of Don’t think about it because Blizz sure as hell didn’t

I thought the exact same thing, and while it was nice to actually see Lirath, I kept wondering why his soul had not moved on, why he was still in the spire and why does he seem really unaware of what his sisters have been up to.

He’s both narrating to us, but also seems lost as to what’s going on, and he stays in the tower once it’s over…it’s confusing.

He’s just pretending the Shadowlands don’t exist and I am all for letting him continue as he pleases.

I am all for Lirath pretending the Shadowlands expansion doesn’t exist with the rest of us, and rocking out his own mystical spiritual vibes

I still think sylvanas and lirath will introduce a bard class.

That’s the best part, she has.

She meets up with the Banshee loyalist PC there and she’s met her sisters there… twice? I think? In the Three Sisters comic and I think War Crimes as well.

I wonder if his soul never showed up before due to the presence of the Scourge? He could’ve been hiding, concealing himself. Between the end of BFA (Sylvanas is at Windrunner Spire for Horde Loyalists) and Midnight, the Scourge in Quel’Thalas were finally, completely dealt with. We know that much.

It’d be sensible if their disappearance freed Lirath to appear more openly.

Or maybe whatever afterlife in the Shadowlands the Arbiter sent him to allows for weekend passes back to the world of the living. Or heck, maybe he’s stuck doing his realm’s equivalent of community service by preaching to the living about his family history.

I could believe he was Venthyr, because its getting increasingly painful every time we have to listen to Windrunner drama. Definitely feels a bit like we’re being tortured.

Somehow he did end up in Ardenweald and Lirath is now the bard wild god.

Just another example of the writers not knowing nor caring to even pretend to know the lore in their game. Kyrians should’ve grabbed him forever ago. He’s not being held there by a necromancer so he shouldn’t be there.
