They are asking for shorter, no trash so they are basically asking to run in and kill a couple of bosses so they can get raid gear with the least amount of effort.
Lazy.
No, improving it would be coming up with more atmospheric environments, more challenging trash, improved mechanics ect. They are talking about changing it to something lesser for their own convenience.
First part right, second part wrong. Imo. Why the ālazyā word rather than giving people a different path? Who does it hurt? Thereās still work and time involved. Getting rid of trash mobs isnāt a good idea, but the rest is.
Why do people want to horde onto their top gear like itās their only proof of being good when thereās equally good players without the time? Itās not being ālazy.ā Itās also not asking for equivalent gear.
Why does sitting ten hours in a gaming chair mean someone is entitled to more?
No, thatās what makes both games special. One game does harder but shorter raid fights(no trash in savage), the other does fully-designed raids with bosses after some trash but easy bosses.
Shorter raids with more important and impressive bosses and less trash would be nice. Some raid bosses feel like absolute filler both design wise, loot wise, and mechanics wise. Just boring, uninspiring and add nothing to the raid. Iād take a 4 boss raid with each boss being spectacular over a 10 boss raid with maybe 3 good fights.
There is a place for long raids just as much as thereās a place for short raids.
Blizzardās formula of āmostly 8-13 boss raids with the occasional 2-3 boss raid sprinkled inā is the perfect formula and is a large reason why WoWās raiding is so good, especially when most fights are somewhere in the 5-8 minute range and only a handful are 10 with even fewer in the 12-15 minute range.
Raids in WoW are fine. It is one of the few things that is consistently done good.
Rather they need to incorporate other features from FF14 such as changing timewalking to be like how they handle old content.
Also the alt friendliness. The way things are being done in 9.1.5 is how they need to be at expansion launch. You complete the stuff on your main and the requirements and restrictions are either removed or massively reduced for any alts.
Bull! Thatās without a doubt theā¦most inane comment about WoW. Integrity? What about yours or other people?
This right here is the problem. You/many totally disrespect others time and gameplay. No one wants to move an inch past that line drawn in the sand. Integrity!!! Iāve barely seen any in game for years!
I donāt think you understand what I mean by gameās integrity, given you are trying to compare it to a personās integrity.
I mean adhering the principles or rules or framing of a game. For example, not allowing folk to collect $200 when they go to jail in Monopoly is upholding the gameās integrity.
This idea would not uphold the principles or rules or framing of WoW.
Raids are one of the things WoW does right. The problem is the other 98% of stuff like crafting and rep etc. One of the reasons I am not playing FFXIV right now is that the raids there just arenāt as immersive and therefore not as fun.
They are really not the same type of game and there really is no need to make them.
