Should players be upset with shadowlands

I don’t think you understand an org chart. There is a reason the blame stays with one person, those minimum wage developers you spoke about they don’t have ‘director’ in their title, that’s why they are minimum wage and overall why the ‘game director’ is responsible for the output.

I don’t mind borrowed power when it is fun and implemented correctly. Take Legion, I thought artefact weapons were one of the coolest things done in wow since flexible raid sizes. However they were not perfectly implemented, looking back having each talent unlocked 3/4on each specs weapon should have been where you start at max level (i.e the process of levelling up should give enough points to reach that). Then through the first content patch maxing 4/4 each talent week in/weekout… then next tier the extra talent wheel, then lastly the infinite prog/condut thing.

I don’t like having sections of the class toolkit locked away, but getting a small increment of borrowed power each week isn’t too bad (if its ~0.5% more power), every xpac needs a reset on the power curve or there is nothing to progress through next xpac I understand that from a gameplay perspective it needs to hapen crit needs to come back down to teens from mid 40s or getting more crit in tier 1 is meaningless (or they need to implement a broader set of stats like an ARPG -which I would like but others would not).

I like the xpac and personally I have enough self esteem to know I am allowed to hold that opinion lol.

Game-bugs and framerate issues, regardless of device, I am seeing situations where it look as if the game is trying to install itself while playing.

Yeah I thought it was me and my crappy 1070 ti

I honestly get a lag spike every several minutes.

==Things I Like==

  • only 4 zones all great looking except kyrian and possibly ard.

  • story 6/10. Not bad but needs improvement about like a movie in theaters now days 90% just kinda meh…

  • Rury and his friends. Can we get a daily from him!

  • Venthyr

==What I Dont Like==

  • too much rng. It’s worse.

  • gearing, hearing players complain about getting a vault rewards 20 ilevels higher but not a stat upgrade.

  • it all feels rushed and half arsed.

  • The chores list has grown. Bunch of “busy work” as stated above.

  • As someone else stated hit a covenant ability feel like a God then wait 2 min to feel that way again.

  • no equal battle ground opportunity its world of gear craft again. I just wanna jump in at any time with equal opportunity. More about skill than gear.

  • level 60 geared players can jump in a 51-59 bg super unfair.

  • i realized specs can truly be annihilated. Before I thought they tuned them and made them fair but after playing havoc dh I feel like a non elite game npc battling other npcs damage is god awful. So I feel like for once blizz is truly forcing me to play a FOTM class. Before it was like I could play something good but not great. It shouldn’t take 30-45 seconds to kill one regular quest npc!!!

And keep in mind I just hit 60 haven’t discovered 90% of what this xpac is about im sure this list will grow.

We expected it to be like this. Only thing upset is they had a lot of extra time and still didn’t deliver.

Exactly this. I feel like legion was great compared to this.

I’m liking most of it, however I have changed as a player slightly. Either I’ve changed or blizzard has.
My goal now is to get the kyrian back piece for my paladin and that’s about it lol. I took my sub off auto and am really contemplating coming back towards the end. I have three months left.
I really wish they would fix the scaling in general and legion legacy raids.
I would recommend to blizzard to stop steering the ship with the 1% in mind because that competitive edge is stripping the fun away from the majority.

After the honey moon phase was over I am pretty much done.

The to do list being large and unrewarding. I dread every week I have to unlock further story progression questing cause blizzard’s story telling is laughable and the quests feel like just another fairly long chore on my to do list.

Mythic plus has a definite algorithm that pins players into receiving similar upgrades to entice them to play/gamble more.

Raiding is the same trash since the beginning of this game and they cant dream big enough to make it more exciting.

New systems add nothing the the game other than chores and more temporary powers. We defeat gods yet cast the same spells since the dawn of time. The game is built on painting it a different color. No innovation such as new professions, spell progression/character development, interactive world events. Activision is pumping out the same formula till this cow cant milk anymore.

Torghast is too lengthy. Add base movement increase or something.

Walking in the maw. Lets keep them playing for our new metric for our share holders.

But yea i could delve further but this game is not worth the time. Blizzard doesn’t even read these forums and listen to feedback. - Insert MC bug in arena that was reported since beta.

I’ve made gold just to avoid giving them my personal money for 2 years and it took little play time. Thats how much I despise this trash company. (yes i know it goes to their bottom line, but still feels good not coming from me personally)

There are parts I don’t like, parts about which I’m indifferent and parts I really enjoy. So far, overall, I’m enjoying it and that’s what matters.

(The only reason I may take a break in the next few months is Far Cry 6.)

I cant explain it, nothing wrong with it to the point I would quit per se, but I didn’t log in last week. I guess i’m just bored.

Because it’s legion 3.0 and legion wasn’t as good as people made it out to be

It’s all the same stuff

That being said I’m having a better time than bfa

boredom gets the best of people sometimes

I’m pissed warlock design sucks and is not fun to play. BTW i do not switch classes to FOTM. The devs need to get it together and do a better job.

Overall I have enjoyed the story, and the play style of my MM Hunter and Ret Paladin (dropped my warrior like a hot rock) the zones are nice and easily navigable. I have probably played more high end content because my guild is active right now. But overall the content feel less rewarding because they nerfed the loot rates… 14 man raid and only 1 or 2 items drops on any boss? Mostly cloaks and rings. Then M+ not rewarding fear at the end is horrible, so iam not exactly pleased with the vault being the only source of gear… and blizz quit making weapons so freaking hard to obtain!!!

Only if you were expecting a decent MMORPG.

Nah, actually. Before I unsubbed and even now I find SL to be designed quite well. It’s hard to be mad at it from a wide perspective. The content balance, the quality, the difficulty, yes even the loot management was fine for me. The game just wasn’t designed for “me”. The great thing is that this game doesn’t mess around in transparency. It’s almost as if the game straight up tells “You’re casual, an intelligent consumer, an outlier, a misfit. Own up to that or get out while you can, or you will not enjoy your time here.”

Yes, because most of us were waiting eagerly for an expansion to hit it out of the park after BFA’s lackluster systems. This expansion, though, feels much the same, if not worse.

Unsub first and if they fix it resub. No need to pay for stuff you’re not playing and it’ll light a fire under Blizzard’s asses if enough people do it.

Not happy at all with SL. I have loved wow as my place to relax for 15 years, but this expac I just can’t do it. So many hours spent on all these systems on systems, harder dungeons, longer dailies and even world bosses…and no feeling of reward for my time.

Been enjoying all my console games I haven’t taken the time to finish over wow at night after work, they feel rewarding and enjoyable. I hope Blizzard is reading all these posts and working hard to fix it in a future patch, because I really don’t want to quit. I feel like I am being forced to quit, because wow right now is not for me.

I’ve resorted to leveling alts just to remember what progress feels like.

Seriously, trying to earn character progress in this endgame is like trying to pull teeth from an angry crocodile.

The vault has given me repeats on both characters several weeks in a row. At this rate, after I’m done leveling my last alt, I’m done with this expansion unless they pull off a miracle and make the endgame fun and rewarding again (which I doubt will happen).

As it stands, as soon as one of my alts hits 50 and I look at SL content, I’m just depressed all over again. Why even bother trying to gear them when the endgame is basically telling me to take my money elsewhere?
