Thunderlord Clan would be pretty good too. Giant slayers and natural hunters.
He said Horde only bud.
I know, I was talking to Lyanna
I def considered it, but i really wanted a frostwolf pet as well. (and riding the AV frostwolf mount seemed fitting).
I might also make a Shadowmoon Priest (if they can be priests?)
Meh. It’s like the Amber encasing in The Vale you pick up during the assaults. It only affects you, not your pet. I never use either.
While Feign Death + Play Dead + Shadowmeld for dropping aggro is super strong, then you can add Camouflage to move out of range with.
And just as a side note…if you decide to go through Exile’s Reach on your new baby hunter - they’ve taken the starter pets away. Now, I don’t know if allied race hunters lost their starter pets too, or if a baby hunter leveling in their racial home zones lost theirs, so if someone who knows could please say, it is something to bear in mind.
Huh, another mark for Night elf Hunter. When I ever get to getting that up.
You get the allied race pets starting at 10 with them. I saw a void elf hunter today with their void pet.
Mag’har can be Priests yes, and I think the skin color for Shadowmoon Orcs is there so it’s perfectly doable.
It’s also one of the lowest race/class combo’s in the game. So if you like to be unique could be for you.
Beast Mastery is crazy simplistic.
People give Demon Hunters a bad time for having few buttons, but honestly BM hunters have as few or less than buttons in their rotation. They basically spam three buttons, over and over, along with CDs and an execute.
BM is a lot more complicated then DH. Just the simple fact that you have to manage and maintain barbed shot or you lose almost all your dps makes it harder.
You can’t do anything on a DH that literally guts your dps like you can on BM. Usually comments I see like these are from people who haven’t played BM in a long time and don’t realize it changed a ton with BFA.
BM actually has a pretty high skill ceiling now a days. It’s harder then you think to parse well on this spec. A good BM hunter will destroy a bad one if they are using barbed shot better and maintaining it better.
Everybody seems to be “trying a hunter” lately.

Well to be perfectly honest I’ve never given much thought to min maxing stuff. If I had I’d probably be a Tauren with all sorts of Mythic first clears under my belt (HA, as if)
For me I always go for theme, what feels right. What make sense within that race’s lore. Sometimes I’ve had to do some mental gymnastics that’d make a contortionist weep in a mix of jealousy and worry.
My first character ever was a hunter and I keep looping back around to them. New server I got a tankadin and a bear to 120 and wanted a DPS… hunter it is lol
Oh Please.
Kill Command, Cobra Shot, Barbed Shot.
Then when mob is done, Kill Shot.
Bestail Wrath and Aspect of the Wild on CD.
That’s the entire rotation.
I’m not going to argue that DH is super complicated, but saying BM Hunter is any way complicated is misleading.
The rest you say is also just as true for demon hunters. Not every single Demon Hunter parses 100, they have their own intricacies as well that separate people.
This is why I refused to play bm, and have only and will only play mm despite it being complete trash this expansion.
Every class has a 3-4 button rotation now a days. So I don’t really understand where you are going with that anyways.
Nobody ever said it was complicated I just said there is more nuance to it than DH. You can misclick on a DH without being heavily punished. However if you overmash barbed shot and then it falls off. Bye Bye damage.
One spec clearly being more punishing than the other, I would beg to argue is a difference in difficulty. Less room for error.
You maintain one shot, and call the spec difficult.
Good grief.
Quote where I said it was please
