None of my toons are even on this account, so whoever he found isn’t one of mine.
This is the first time i am hearing about this addon, i think ill just continue to not use it however.
If blizzard does not think the add on should keep going they will break it to the point there is no way to make it work as it is designed.
So they just so happened to find a max level female panda warlock with the same transmog as you, one of whom’s connected alts happened to have the exact same name as this currently outdated forum avatar?

I’m back. If you follow Hekili without also knowing how to build your class against encounter-specific mechanics (cleave vs st vs movement vs surv) then you’re still going to suck. But at least it will be the addon’s fault. Right?

So basically have people replace a simple addon that makes suggestion with a complex one that requires a great deal of mastery and setup. And constant tinkering and changes.
Sounds like a fantastic way to make sure that players who aren’t programming minded will never reach any level of competence. Good job, I always suspected that keeping other players down was a part of the game design intended to buff the egos of top players.

I noticed a couple of patches ago it was broken. I uninstalled it because I was getting errors and it hadn’t been updated yet. It’s a bit annoying that more addons are broken with each patch.

It’s not hard to install WA addon and import a Luthos WA set. There’s no wall preventing players from doing this. It doesn’t even require above average intelligence to set up, so I’m sure most can do it.

Importing a premade WA has never been easier. There are even guides on how to do it. If they are aware of the addon and import source, there’s even a handy “copy import string” button. You can argue that it’s not “common knowledge,” but then again, neither is Hekili.
Also forgot to mention that if you use any type of macroing of abilities with modifier keys, Hekili will not pick up on them and will not tell you to use them. I think that’s a bit detrimental to learning your class. It also didn’t tell me to use Ray of Frost, Frozen Orb for FoF procs, when to use Cold Snap and Icy Veins, etc., etc.
I’ve changed my mind, please ban this addon because it is bad. So bad. Creates bads. Empowers bads to think they’re goods. But there’s no way that OP has seen any 3k or 100s using this addon. That’s laughably trollish.

I don’t like mucking around with addons. Most addons, even that claim lots of functionality, give no instructions on how to make them work.
No, I’m not going to install WA and take a chance on compromising my game, which has happened in the past. I’m not skilled at security. And addons with no instructions are useless to me.
As far as “no wall preventing players from doing that”, let’s look at the players who installed an addon that resulted in their gold being drained from their account while making legitimate AH purchases. That was weak auras.

That’s not weakauras itself, that’s a piece of code someone uploaded or copied from another source that turned out to be malicious that ran through weakauras. It’s the equivalent of clicking a scam link in an email.
Weakauras is as complicated as a user wants to make it, personally I have no idea what I’m doing beyond copy pasting code from trusted sources and moving stuff around.

OHHH! I forgot that you had a totally off-topic take in this thread about needing to make specs easier to play and that’s why you’re gungho about not using third party addon. Because they’re the alternative to pruning the game to the point of mindlessness that you hope to achieve. Well, good luck with that.
I’d like to see it go a different direction and see blizzard implement their own version of WA with purely informational overlays and leave the decision up to the players. There will always be people who either refuse to or cannot grasp the synergies of their class from the tooltips alone and will also be asking blizzard to put a Hekili type interface in as well. And I wouldn’t mind if they did that, honestly, for accessibility reasons.
Then my only complaint about it falters since it will be approved “cheating” (a stance I’m kind of walking away from since it is such a comically bad thing to use for guidance) and everyone would have access to it. I’d also love a DPS/HPS meter too while we’re at it. But for now I’ll use community vetted addons and imports with custom code.
