Imo we should have every PvP talent baseline when we queue into PvP. Picking talents, or forgetting to pick talents, shouldn’t even be a thing.
I would love having more depth to my spec

i didn’t mean to be an jerk, just stressing a point. honestly you’re describing casual pve play, not competitive pvp. i understand where you’re coming from, but arena is a competitive mode where game knowledge in general and other spec talent knowledge/understanding your opponent makes differentiates 1600 players vs 2400 vs 3k+ players. i’m not sure what arena would be without selecting talents and alternate leggos based on matchups, it would lack depth and just be the most overtuned classes always win by default through pve damage. i mean i love battlelord playstyle, getting mortal strike reset procs and having a ton of extra rage feels great, but i wear mirror when it’s the best choice to win a match. it’s a having your cake and eating it too situation you know, maybe you just want to vent and you don’t care about any of this, but that’s not good for pvp either, it sends the wrong message out to uninformed players who just regurgitate bad ideas and continue the negative cycle of doom and gloom. SL pvp has it’s problems but holy hell undoing the legion pruning and templates was the best thing they have done in years, now they just need to go back to wod gearing (so we can play alts) but leave leggos in bc they are fun as long as they are really on top of tuning them and doing frequent small balances, remove gimmicky things like maledicts/shackles (NEVER BRING BACK SPITES) and 1 shots and the game is pretty good minus painting of fruit.

Tough decision to make tbh. Demon skin isn’t nearly strong enough to give us a sustained defensive benefit, hence why we saw a pretty significant transition to dark pact this season (also has to do with the numerous buffs dark pact has gotten this expansion alone).
Most wars are kyrian, but gate is the only solution to successfully negating the spear’s effect. It’s even riskier to play around that sole option since a lock has to literally be on the move 90% of the time vs melee to avoid instant death, particularly against warriors. You can’t even properly trade off for every spear even if you play the gate honor talent. I believe a lock will have the opportunity to gate every 2nd spear based on cooldown comparisons. On top of that, we aren’t considering the positional requirement since the lock has to be right next to gate in order to anticipate a spear, which then prevents them from kiting the warrior when in turn forces them to eat a fair amount of dmg which would seem lethal even without cds sometimes.

That guy has yet to 1 shot me lmao. He always gets my healer friend tho then me and the dps I’m with go on to 2v3 them anyways always hilarious playing that guy.
