Again, sounds like a guild problem and not a guild bank alt problem.

Personal experience only, but in all of the guilds in which I was a member, the only times anyone was denied guild mats was if they had previously abused the guild bank.

Ok… what’s your point? Clearly some guilds withhold mats. It still is fine for this thread.

Thanks, I’m always interested in seeing how other guilds handle this sort of thing.

The point is that a guild withholding mats is a GUILD problem, not a problem with a guild bank alt system.

I don’t understand how a guild that withholds mats would retain its members. I’m contributing ore-- I should receive leather when I need it. I’d leave and find a guild that appreciates me. (I think most would/should)

What’s hard to understand with no in game log or management it’s very easy to lie about who and what is actually in the guild bank.

Good point, and it sounds like an argument for LK (retail) style guild banks. It may solve problems, but I sympathize with the no changers… (bc baby here).

But I think the rank and file members are smart enough to collectively wonder “we’re putting all this crap in, who’s benefitting”? Of course if it’s working properly, there’s no need to wonder about this.

Or you just don’t put normal junk like leathers, herbs, potions, flasks, etc. in the guild bank. Let people get all that stuff on their own…

If the only stuff in the guild bank is stuff that it takes the guild to get it’s much easier to keep track of…

Its 100% only core leather, ony scales, dark iron ore, bloodvine etc. not normal mats.

If you’re having any issue getting a reasonable amount of those (except dark iron which is NOT a guild bank sort of resource, go to BRD) then it’s a guild issue, period. The same scenario would apply using a bank alt or a guild bank with restricted access…
