Blah blah blah keep classic the same. Seriously I got into the stress test. Anyways, tagged mobs just makes you wish no one else was there and u were playing a single player game. Add share tags like in retail.
and yet we managed it the first time around just fine. Group up and you wont have to worry about it.
Don’t understand this rational - if you have 20 groups of 5 people you still have problems if there are only 5 mobs up every 4 minutes or w/e the timer is there.
you could have social interactions to get the tag sooner
If I come across 2-3 other players in the open world doing the same quest as me yeah ill send the man invite. But 10+ people just aint working.
sounds like you’d be happier remaining on retail…It worked fine the first time. And it will continue working fine now. Not broken, don’t fix it.
you seem to think its going to be that densely populated throughout every zone. It wont. People level at different rates, for various reasons.
And go to different areas
Oh there is no doubt about that, I am just saying what you suggest really doesn’t fix the problem.
And no I don’t personally expect them to change things but I also will not put up with that frustrating play so I will play off hours and maybe not start until 3-4 days late if I do.
Interact with other people getting tags. Make bandages or convert leather while you wait. Troll the forums while you wait. Jam some tunes or something.
Sweet another one out of my way
it greatly speeds it up and a lot of the time you get to meet some new people.
You assume its a problem. It’s not. It’s part of an older style of thought when it comes to design in regards to forcing you to interact with other players.
Its a problem, if im some noob coming over im not even gonna have an idea how to invite people.
So you wait a few minutes. Competition will not kill you.
This will not be the norm. Everyone is currently shoved into one server with buggy layering. Give people time to get out of the starting zones (which doesn’t even happen when everyone is capped at 5), not all rushing to play at the same time since the servers are only open for a limited amount of time, and just generally find where to fit playtime into their schedules.
Not everyone is going to stick around even. This issue will resolve itself in time. Changing the game to work around it will just break the game when the issue is no longer present.
Classic may not be the game for you.
Fortunately, a game already exists with all those QOL conveniences that you seem to crave. It’s called BFA.
I played in Chicago PvE CRZ when they brought in CRZ in MoP, I had to make characters on RP servers just to enjoy leveling again.
I experienced ‘group’ play this morning on the stress test server - I was going to tag a mob, get plunked this group invite in front of my face right before I do and then find out the only reason I was getting invited because the guy wasn’t close enough to tag the mob first.
Sure we finished the quest faster but not a word was said. I much prefer just to play with the friends I already have thanks.
Look, they want to replicate as much from Vanilla. If you aren’t happy, go to another zone! Go do something else… Took me 2.5 hours to get to level 5. Yes, i got sometiem angry when i attack a mob, but someone else was faster … what did i do? i jsut grin and move along to get a tag on the next one.
The undead zombie starting quest took me 30 minutes alone(yeah, i should’ve party with people to accelerate the processus) but people were quite spread out.
What could be considered a problem to you, might not be a problem to others.
Shared tags is absolutely the way things should work… eventually. I’m in favor of keeping Classic as it was in almost every case.
The flip side to tagging is that it encourages people to team up, which is what we lost in WoW along the way.
