Because private servers are inherently unstable and the game means effectively everything to me. All of the hobbies that I love is dying (Starcraft; the video game industry in general), dead (the MMO genre as a whole), or is being ruined at its inception (WoW Classic). I care about the game, and I don't want to see it ruined. I know I have no power to change anything. I'm just a useless and very frustrated little b!tch behind a keyboard, and staying active on forums is my only outlet to feel like I have any kind of connection at all to influence how things are going.

Blizzard didn't used to be my enemy, but they are going down the path of EA and CCP. This isn't a good thing.

The thing is, sharding won’t make much of a difference, it will just make the game playable at launch. Blizz isn’t your enemy, they are listening, if they weren’t they would have never started developing Classic in the first place ;)

Vanilla was inherently often "unplayable," but it was always *social*. On launch day, I don't expect to do a lot of leveling, but I do expect to do a lot of chatting and socializing. That's what I care about. That's why I play MMOs. That's what I want out of WoW.
