Well you clearly want to avoid people using the addon. The addon parses the LFG channel for it’s information.

I dont get these retail babies trying to ruin Classic… just stay in retail. Personally will miss some of the cosmetic things but at least I understand why things need not be changed and are fully accepting of not changing Classic because of it. Meanwhile ya got kids like Star over here “Gimme! I want this and this! Change these things! Make things easier for me! MEEEEE!”… just stay in retail.

The global chat channel didn’t even exist until 1.12 and was removed around the release of TBC. So for a small time in Vanilla I suppose it could have, but it wasn’t there for the beginning.
This being in vanilla wouldn’t be a change to vanilla. Aside from that, nochanges is a meme at this point.

And those using that add-on are always subject to being RCR’d for spamming, especially since it is automated spam.
I wonder how many will continue to use that add-on if using it increases their chances of being RCR’d and losing their ability to communicate.

I guess I might as well look at the source code if I’m going to argue about how it works.
Instead of having an easy-mode addon do all your work for you at the click of one button you have to go to the forums and socialize with someone to get a group??? Hrmm, what does that do?

Oh! Oh whoops okay I thought you knew what this addon does.
If you click the button it sends a message that you set to the other player and then you group up. So all the add-on would do is save you from typing their name.
