You’re a monk, you don’t have the mana issues all of us other healers have. You and resto shamans have the luxury of mana. But disc/holy priest, h. paladin? We go oom within 2 minutes of a match attempting to outheal the damage in arena atm (due to ret usually). I am GLAD you don’t have mana issues, but it’s just awfully difficult for the other healing classes currently.
I’m a castweaver, r shams still outmana me. I was just commenting in another post that I think dampening should be the deciding factor of matches and not ooming, since it feels bad to just look down and realize you lose based off an arbitrary number, and not because you slacked on hitting buttons.
Either way, my comments were in regard to dealing with the anxiety of messing up when healing, not the healing experience itself. In actual 3’s it’s easy to start feeling more and more like a F-up if you lose a bunch in a row, because you feel responsible for your team mate’s rating. The solo shuffle cycling mitigates that feeling of responsibility, and limits it to mostly a feeling of your own rating.
R. shamans are the bigger mana battery, yes (I play one also). I have that ‘anxiety’ of messing up in shuffle but not so much in my 3’s because those are my friends and we play for fun. I guess it’s reverse for me, I could care less in shuffle because even if I play my best, the lack of comms makes it chaotic and something is bound to mess up. I also can’t take shuffle seriously with how toxic DPS can be towards a healer. But I get where you are coming from, 100%.
Yeah, I still play with my wotlk arena partner from back in the day, and he basically took a risk on recommending / playing with me, so I always strive to perform my best when playing with him. Shuffles the majority of the time I don’t even know why I’m queueing, just for alt gear I guess, so 3-3’s are perfectly fine for me in there since I still get the conquest points for that. I’ve always ended up being a good yolo healer though, since I tend to make a ridiculous amount of weak auras to try to keep track of every bit of important information I can. Been slacking on that this expansion, but yeah, hypothetically it should be a bracket I absolutely love.
i’m quitting healing after 600 rounds, because when i lose the first 3 rounds and win the 4th as exemple, someone quits and the rating changes based on games played, and that mean, i’ll lose lots of rating, theres 2 weeks that i dont get a 4th win and sheet like this happens, is really annoying, and i was looking for elite gear, but kind of giving up. When i go as dps, is different, you play twice with the retarded dps of the match, the chances of going up is way higher than as healer. i just finished a solo and i lost the would be 4Th win because the high intellect dps jumped across the arena and was bursted to the ground in seconds.
Time to post on Victoria
No.
There is almost no reason to queue with ret being broken. It’s pretty boring to have a ret in EVERY game.
Glad you’re enjoying it. It’s easily the most frustrating thing I have ever done in the game by a massive margin. You could give me a 1,000 gold per game and I still wouldn’t do it. Maybe after things are fixed.
I bet shuffle is responsible for an unprecedented spike in account silences
Yeah, and even some suspensions or permanent bans if Twitter is to be believed.
I need to pull a Jah and put a punching bag by the PC so I can beat that instead of risking a ban if I go healer main for S2
Rewarding unique things for healers only will not go over well with DPS. Even if it will help them out with shorter times they’ll revolt.
I mean there’s already class specific rewards in the form of elite sets so I’m not sure how it’s that much different with role rewards.
They could also do shuffle achievements, like 1750 shuffle, then maybe also have it by role, so 2000 shuffle as healer, 2200 shuffle as damager, etc.
Class specific, yeah.
Role specific is another story.
It’s just crabs boiling in a pot.
Nobody wants to do anything about the que times if it means they have to actually do something or others get benefits they don’t.
The glad mount should be recolored and given to healers after winning a bunch of rounds in solo shuffle. That would be nice incentive
award primal focus instead of chaos, that way we can just max out all of our reps.
that would keep me queing, for now.
