Shamans needed a nerf, but wow blizz, what you did was slaughter

I feel you man, I think this is just one of those wait and see type things. I doubt if Shamans can’t hold threat at all that Blizz won’t adjust accordingly…considering the Aggrend swapped from Pally to Shaman for Phase 2 lol. They will for sure correct it.

Yeah, I’ve already informed my guild that I’m no longer a viable raid tank.

Most of our threat is RB Auto attacks, we don’t get enough blocks from a raid boss to keep mana up with having to spam spells to keep that up.

Dungeon tanking should be fine though.

Dude Lock tanks in P2 did absolute dogwater DPS…same with Shield using Warriors…Not gonna lie I never actually saw a Warrior tank at all in Gnomer. I forgot they exist.

I have been 100% transparent with the same attitude/mentality as to the direction Shaman changes need to be focused on, and what avenues of their kit are overperforming since Shamans got double RB + Loyal Beta/Alpha + WoTE.

pardon me for not believing you still when he doesn’t get shield mastery as a buff a single time in the entirety of his event log. I am more than happy to acquiesce if you would provide a link but you seem to be still just saying things without providing any proof of it. All i want is a link, thats all since you are already there looking at it

and double rb was asked to be changed way back in p1 when pallys were crying not to have the broken shield changed

The oppressors always feel changes in the namesake of equality are unfair, because they want to be the strongest.

Sorry not sorry. Shaman has consistently/constantly/always overperformed in SoD. More changes are necessary, tbh.

A big part of the issue is that Molten Blast got it’s threat nerfed hard.

Previously it was approximately 3x damage to threat (compared to tclap/swipe 5x it’s already low).

Currently it’s 1.1 and 1.6 with WoE.

So over half the threat on the Tanking rune is just gone.

Can you please answer my request and provide a link to what you were supposedly already looking at? Your credibility is pretty much down the drain at this point but to continue this… there’s a big difference between equality and crushing nerfs. THe latter is what happened to us. We are no longer on equal footing with other tanks, so feel free to try and quote some random nonsense to validate your stance

Would also love to know blizzards reasoning on MD in relation to elemental. It’s the only rune we have access to that increases our single target damage and now they’ve nerfed it with rockbiter (a warranted nerf) but then on top of that, turned it to a 10 seconds buff (???) essentially forcing us to stand in melee range and hit the boss once every 10 seconds, or just use flame shock which does absolutely nothing for us outside of trash packs. We also still have to use rockbiter with MD despite you changing the shenanigans behind that with shamanistic rage. The ele rotation is going to be awful with these changes.

It’s a little early to judge what they’ve done.

The balance changes are meant to work in conjunction to being level 50, and with runes that don’t exist yet.

Wait a few days and then comfortably say how incompetent the Classic team is.

it’s along the same lines as the lake of fire nerf for warlocks. THey intend it to be used a certain way, when people try to circumvent that and use it in ways it wasn’t intended they make it more painful to use in the un-intended way. It isn’t meant for elemental unfortunately =/

I think even with RB nerfs Ele Shamans realistically should have close to 1000 AP with full buffs/world buffs. This will still be a very significant rune for Ele to use. 300 Spellpower is going to TRUCK.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, it’s still going to be a strong rune for elemental but it makes the play style awful. Like just forcing us to melee swing the boss once every 10 seconds is good gameplay how?
