Shamans needed a nerf, but wow blizz, what you did was slaughter

Then they also need to simply lower the mana cost of the AoE Threat Glove Rune. It’s pretty simple.

i dont tank and never did double rb so zero effect on me

Good thing your talking about tanking then isnt it?

Hypocritical people these days…

simple to me and you lol not so much on blizz’ side. But it’s only the first day at 40. We will see where we get at 50 with the new runes. Its just sucks that the new meta spec is spellpower gear and an elemental build for shaman tanks. :frowning: far cry from the warden fantasy but it is what it is

There’s a lot of changes that would be “pretty simple” but never get made lol

Yea exactly, I think if there is a serious threat issue at 50 they will tune with the above things like I stated…atleast thats the logical solution etc. But I do NOT think they need to go the direction of giving Shaman tanks more damage again. I don’t think that’s the play at all.

The new runes (Overcharge specifically) make it seem like Shaman tanks are going to be balanced against Paladin tanks: both will be AoE tanks (using Overcharge/Consecrate) that use shields and hold aggro on many mobs at once.

Warriors will be the supreme single target tanks, as they’re the only ones who can reliably dual wield for threat.

Druids will be slightly worse Warriors with unique utility (Wild Strikes, Leader of the Pack)

I support that design 100%

and warlocks will still just be gods doing 500+ dps XD

Eh, idk if that will hold up long term.

Gnomer was NOT friendly to Warriors. Mobs had ridiculous levels of armor. Give those mobs normal levels of armor and Warriors would have done more damage than Warlocks (as they should)

No need to be rude. I’d also like to know if it really put us below other tanks at lvl 40.

Brother, he crit you on every single attack and dumped 120 energy into you, meaning he used zero stuns or other abilities, and thats actually 3 seconds if you understand how a GCD works. But nice to see that you’re no longer using way of the earth.

yes, currently far below other tanks. Good tanks are averaging like 250ish, your average tanks are doing 150ish and warlocks are at 500+, warriors 400ish and unsure about druids

This part sounds correct. Should have never been doing near the dps shaman tanks were capable of. That was a joke.

i gave you timestamps. I know how GCD works. There is LITERALLY a timestamp there to show you the damage done in that amount of time.

Enh was beyond “a bit over the top” it was one of the most broken pvp specs in the history of wow. Blizz not taking steps to reel the spec in during p2 was actually negligent, and I say this as an Enh main who benefitted greatly from the phase.

Had the spec been brought down in power with some reasonable balancing during p2 it would have been healthier for SoD as a whole, and enh mains would not have spent the last month knowing the sword of damacles was hanging over them with p3 launch.

We will see how they perform in p3 at 50. I’m betting that with gear they will be high performers in the melee bracket for dps, enh scales very well with weapon damage and mind gymnastics or whatever its called is going to make them potent spellcasters. 21/20/0 spellhance has the potential to be a solid spec as well, who knows.

PvP looks to be standard shaman stuff, total glass cannon capable of one shotting mages/druids if they can reach them, but incapable of surviving anyhting. Business as usual and the fotm rerolls will disappear to whatever the new broken class is this phase. Just remember, if you’re broken now, you won’t be forever, but you might be for longer than you should

we cried all of P1 to change/fix rockbiter because we knew this P2 fiasco was gonna happen… then for some ungodly reason they gave us the alpha/beta buff… we didn’t want it, we didn’t need it.

edit and i don’t want to play spellhance as an enhance shaman lol i want windfury and fast hitting melee attacks… i play hance to be a tasmanian devil demon with tornadoes. Not to flame and earth shock crap, if i wanted to do that i would play ele

yep cant wait for those priest/pally/druid/mage nerfs.

will be fun right?

The Dual Wield Specialization rune and it’s consequences have been a disaster for the shaman player base.

Same for Hunter, literally Dual Wield Rune absolutely dumpstered Ranged Hunter because Blizzard became so hyper focused on making melee hunter viable.
