Classic+ doesn’t have to be Retail+ though. A main point of Classic is that it’s not retail.

Or it can be retail+ it all depends on what brings in the most money if you ask corporate. They seem to be willing to add some non-classic features to appease their retail players these days.

Philosophy: pure damage brings damage, hybrids bring utility + damage, but in reality warriors push 900-1000 dps without world buffs, and rets push 300 dps without world buffs…did they bring 600-700 dps worth of utility? Nope.
The DPS spread of the raid group should be smaller.

It’s obvious they want to make money. I’m not sure why this is a talking point. However, it wouldn’t make sense to destroy something people who are playing Classic now and try to make it more enticing to pull people away from retail.
Not to mention… they both pay the same sub. There’s no additional subscriptions being made here.

You’re injecting your disproven belief into the thread. Classic Era has changes and can continue to change. The balancing act is ensuring those changes align with a Classic WoW design.
It’s still people who rather not play retail, at minimum. And once again, it still doesn’t do anything to gain more money. It’s the same people.
If people haven’t joined to play DF or Classic Era/WotLK, no ‘additional’ money is being made here. So your initial argument is moot.
it is if you are talking about putting out something people would be interested in and believe it will keep them playing or drawing them back in from a break. If they believe that retailing classic will do that, it’s what you will see.
