Wow, I haven’t been in the forums for quite a while. Glad to see nothing has changed regarding the shaman tank discussion 
I am one of those that still have a shammy tank. So far in phase 2, I am still able to still serve as an OT. It would be interesting to see if I could MT one of the easier bosses down the road once I get better gear though.
For perspective, back in phase 1, I was able to take hatefuls from Gruul without any issues as well as tank adds during Mag (but of course not Mag himself). In any case, shammy taking is interesting and I find it fun. I of course switch to dps when not tanking and don’t expect to be chosen to tank during 25-mans however when I am assigned a target so far it has not been a problem.

No. Shamans can tank because of the video linked above.
In a sense every player gets carried by the other 9 (or more). Unless that is one person in the raid can solo it. My guess is they had fun doing something that a lot of shamen players had wanted to do for a long time. Don’t worry, it won’t become mainstream and if a shamen you know and play with ask to try main tanking you can politely (or not) decline.

You mean the same video which doesn’t include a Gruul or Mag run?
Because I’m pretty sure that every other real tank in the game could tank those bosses.

Nah, clearly when you win the RNG avoidance lottery against a boss and survive, that’s the same as tanking.

I would assume a lot of things but not from a green parsing shaman. You’re just constructing your own imaginary guidelines for tanks.
I’ve never said shamans are great tanks.
So what did the Shaman do in the video linked?

No, clearly they’re not imaginary given all the evidence of Shamans tanking prenerf Gruul and Mag, right? 
And First Aid ensures everyone is a legit healer too, I assume? They ust gotta say, “I never said I was a great healer…”

He also didn’t tank Gruul or Mag. Which I’m pretty sure was actively being done by Warriors, Paladins, and Druids.
You get one free boost to level 58. You’ll need it since apparently levelling an actual Classic character might be too difficult for your retail mind.
The guy is a kitten. I’ll bet he leveled to 20 and stopped playing because the game was too hard.
