Makes no sense that THE windfury class cant benefit from the iconic ability as a tank.
In Original Classic they were an off tank using rockbiter.
What you get now with Rockbiter and the shield rune is MILES ahead than what it used to be like.
Sides, Drop a WF totem if you want or get a Druid with Wild Strikes
you cant benefit from WF with rockbiter on
Why do you think they gave windfury to druids?
No.
Tanks are supposed to do less damage than dps.
other tank can benefit from WF and still tank.
Druids do not benefit from WF totem and warriors are prevented from using sharpening stones.
warriors do not depend on sharpening stones for their entire threat gen
No, but saying there’s no tradeoff is disingenuous. It’s one reason alliance warrior tanks can still do comparable threat in vanilla despite not having WF.
If you are a bear using survival, and you have a feral in group you get both.
Bears aren’t considered weapon attacks and don’t benefit from weapon buffs unless something has changed.
Wild strikes rune bro, where have you been?
Eh wording is unclear on it, regardless this is a thread about windfury not wild strikes.
Not even that… id say just let them benefit from Wild Strikes for now while theyve got active Weapon imbues.
Itll be the only time Frostbrand will ever see consistent use. It shouldnt unbalance anything either as theyll get their own WF at 30 anyhow. But it leaves them behind other tanks for threat generation.
in pve itll be double flametongue. FB just doesnt proc enough.
WF and wild strikes are one in the same. you can count on WF being changed to apply to druids
They aren’t the same, they have different effects with regard to weapon buffs (and apparently druid attacks)
I don’t really have an issue with this tbh.
Tank shamans will never have threat issues. They have much bigger problems than single target tps and windfury id rather address those
The only issues I run into are:
Mana.
Enemies resisting or being outright immune to my elements.
That’s all. Mana gets addressed more with gear and levels though. But eventually we’re going to have an issue with enemies being immune to too many of our elements.
mana is addressed with block.
