Yeah, the exact same people who would say that Horde had a massive advantage in Classic raids because of lust.
And yet this class is so near and dear to my heart. I wouldnât reroll for anything. Iâve been a Shaman since the beginning, and will be one until the end.
I am not sure I agree with ya on that one. Having played my fair share of Paladin, Death Knight, and a very VERY minor dabbling with Warlock I disagree that Shaman have horrible mobility. They may not be on the same tier as Monks, Demon Hunters, or Druids but I wouldnât say they have low mobility compared to several other classes. They feel pretty middle of the pack to me.
Yeah, this⌠this is beyond true. Holy cow are Shaman squishy for being a Mail Class let alone their Melee Spec being exceedingly squishy!
Like, I know a lot of Shaman keep pointing toward Defensive CDâs but man would I kill for some passive damage reduction honestly. The hits I take on my Shaman just doing normal activities compared to other Classes like Demon Hunters, Druids, Paladins, Warriors, Etc are night and day different. I feel like I am wearing cloth with some of the damage I take.
Mmmm⌠I donât really have much of a comment on this one though I do wish you would expand into specifics for this point. I am curious what exactly other classes got of ours that you feel took a lot away from us. I am assuming Bloodlust/Heroism is one of them, on top of the fact that Drums exist too.
I mean, I am not sure if my moral is low more so that itâs weary⌠From my time in the Alpha and into the Beta it seems like feedback is listened to. The last major class pass, which admittedly was a while back now, made changes that basically reflected 1:1 with the feedback given in the Alpha Shaman Feedback thread.
Itâs true that we have not seen more big changes since, I know many players have posted feedback since that point, but considering the last class point felt pretty spot on I do feel somewhat confident that more will be coming.
On the other hand, looking at BFA and the Shaman neglect and how Shaman were basically told before launch âWe donât have any changes coming at launch, we will look at Shaman in 8.1â only for it to be pretty much silent and constantly getting pushed back⌠yeah, makes me a bit uneasy when things are quiet.
I mean, Survivability is a constant issue that is brought up to an almost universal degree and yet you never see/hear Blizzard comment on it and Shadowlands has so far done nothing to improve that situation. In fact, one can argue that it was made worse with the last set of Maelstrom Changes after the first major pass.
So I am in a position where on one hand I feel like feedback is really being listened too, on the other hand we are getting deeper and deeper into the Beta and things have been silent. No blue posts like other classes have gotten, no changes in a while, it really makes me uneasy.
Rotationally, especially AoE, I am having a blast with Enhancement Shaman on the Beta. I think there are still some major problems, which I outlined in my followup feedback post in the primary feedback thread, but I actually really like the flow for the most part as Enhancement. However survivability is exceptionally noticeable, specifically in the lack of passive survivability.
For example, when I play on a Warrior, or a Paladin, or a Demon Hunter my defensiveâs feel situational when just doing normal content like Rare Elites and questing. That they exist for âOh Crud!â moments. On my Shaman I feel like they are an integral part of just my normal play at times.
I can end a fight with a rare on Fury Warrior on Beta with pretty much full life and having used zero defensives in the process. My Shaman I feel like I need to use my defensives and even then, if I didnât have Earth Elemental up, I rarely end in the same shape as my Warrior. Same with Demon Hunter, I feel much stronger and sturdier on a Demon Hunter than Shaman.
Something is seriously wrong with Shaman survivability and I am really not sure why its not been acknowledged when, again, it feels so universally mentioned. It just feels bad doing non-group content on my Shaman.
Just my two cents at least.
So⌠Idk. On one hand I truly believe feedback is being listened to and that Blizzard has changes coming, on the other hand history (especially BFA) paired with the long run of silence has me a bit unnerved. I would really like to main Enhancement Shaman in Shadowlands but if the issues it currently has donât get fixed I may abandon ship for a Warrior instead.
I will tell ya one thing, I am envious of Shadow Priests right now on the Beta. They are the scariest class I have encountered on the Beta in Warmode since the changes.
Enjoy what you love. Who cares about the meta except the 1%.
Ok. Stop wagging the Worgen. Or is it wag the Draenei?
Ah details, you crazy Alliance kids. Why back in my dayâŚ
ZâŚzzâŚzzzzzzâŚZ.
Youâre cute. Wanna snuggle? Not quite a female Tauren, but youâre my second choice.
Yeah was never a fan of the class for those reasons. Class always felt squishy and clunky at the same time.
There definately have been better patches for them in the last 2 expansions, but I jist dont trust Blizzard to balance them.
-Debatable what the Undead will do during said snuggle, but to wax the Black Knight. Sheâs had worse.-
We can go to the Crypt. Itâs a shindig that can raise the dead. 2 for 1 pitchers of formaldehyde 6 to midnight.
I hear Bansheeâs a real screamer.
-checks that Warcraft III line off the "Things you always wanted to say on a Warcraft Forum" List.-
I have no problem with a Resto Shaman being my healer. We 4 manned Orgozoa after the whole raid went down with just a Druid bear, Resto Shaman, me and I think a rogue. The Shaman kept us healed through the whole fight just fine. Never had problems in low-mid M+ keys either.
Granted I know jack diddly about the other specs but Resto at least seems fine. Iâll never turn down a Shaman for heals.
I have never played one, but like half my guild plays them and they are all really excited for enhancement for some reason.
The problem was they didnât change much from legion, but lost artifact abilities. Hopefully thereâs some sort of difference for shadowlands. All bfa class design was poorly done. It was basically move around 2 or 3 spells, then remove artifact stuff and place it in some but not all of the trees.
Isnât the irony here that Ion mains a shaman?
I will never understand how a class that can wield rock and ice AND wears mail armor is the squishiest class.
I wish it wasnât the case but I always target shamans in pvp. They melt unless resto and even thenâŚ
Make shamans tankier and I would love to play one.
I love my resto shaman, lol.
Only reason I chose to main a druid is because blizzard gave me no choice with their alt hate.
I just started playing my shaman alt and Gods it feels bad. Itâs just button smash with no real mechanics. WTB Gust of Wind ⌠why did they remove that?!
