Shaman for all races?

I’m just making a note of it. Like we know mechanically there’s no void or blood elf druids playable either but they’re still part of Fyrakk’s flame druid forces. The game’s always bent what classes could mean for NPCs, especially antagonists (there were night elf twilight warlocks all the way back in Cata for example)

What was being said is flame druids are not technically “druids” but in game a druid can choose the flame druid skin. So primilist can be used as a lore reason to add the shaman class.

The game has a long history of the different races following “other” things but being called the same class. Just look at tauren and there earthmother or trolls and the loa. Elves worship elune but are still priest that kinda thing.

How so?

Because primalists are people that follow the primal incarnates, who give them their power.

2 which we have killed. One is still a bad guy that got away.

So what is the “lore reason” that the people that worship the primal incarnates, and get their power specifically from them…are now part of the alliance/horde?

There are always defectors in war.

What makes you people think they know Shaman exist?

I’d rather shaman be shaman (and thats the case for all classes) than “ok, you are a shaman, but not really”

Because that means we either cant get another class lore heavy expansion like Legion again…or it just wont make sense

Kul Tiran shaman already wouldnt make sense if plugged into the Legion story.

nah, make the totems look like piles of feces. Or make them tails. Just to cheese worgen players, the totems are shaped like tails.

That’s perfect.

We heard you wanted tails so we gave you a bunch!

Well, I respectfully disagree primalist are a good enough reason to let the other races use the shaman class without it breaking the world. You could even say that the new “shaman” aren’t from the primalist but inspired by them. Or that kul tirans have been sharing their ways of water as the dark iron share their ways of fire. Shaman does not break lore, so storywise there is no reason not to add them.

I mean, we did let in red spacegoats, which was even worse. But the whole “hey, you are a bad guy that worked to kill everyone? you should be part of us now” is just so tiring and silly.

What does this even mean?

That is more on par with being a mage than a shaman.

A shaman isnt someone that just uses fire or water spells through learned experiences.

I prefer the dog treat suggestion but that would be an epic troll from blizz to do that.

Why wouldnt they?

Because they arent shamans in lore. They are more like…water priests. (Tidesages).

So they would be doing a lot of shaman lore related things, while not being shaman.

I’m sorry, what?

Alliance had Paladins and Horde have Shamans just the way it should be~

Shaman should have been open to all races a long time ago, perhaps during or after cataclysm. All you have to do lore-wise to be a shaman is be spiritual and make pacts with the elements to borrow their power. Anybody can do that.

At least there’s another chance in Last Titan considering Mimiron. :8ball::robot:

Yes. Anyone can

Class/race restrictions are to show how a race’s culture work. Removing the restrictions removes this important lore aspect.

Which is why I said I am ok with all/all if racials becomes much stronger and passively push people to certain race/class combos so that lore/culture aspect is preserved.

People get their all/all and it makes more since within the story.

They are likely already finished, they simply don’t want for players to play another classes for now. The most work they have with are likely Druids.

Unfortunately all races will go extinct the moment the Humans and Blood Elves can do everything.

Which is a huge reason not to do it.
