It’s a pretty lazy reskin of the Drustvar witch-ghost model. That’s fine, but they needed to do more to alter the head.
Or just tap into some of the amazing elemental models and spell effects made for the primalists in DF that somewhat amazingly never made their way to the player character.

Now there’s a thought. Forget glyphs. They should give shamans some barbershop options for this kind of thing. Ascended forms and spirit wolves. Like druids got for their forms. Hell, even warlocks got it for their demons.

The fire clown version even looks better than the water/lightning ones.
Put all the glowy crap on their hands, or make it a helmet cosmetic swap on existing character model, just something else.
But more than anything, yeah it should be added options not a direct and irreversible replacement.

Oh girl, no. You don’t understand. We’re shaman. We don’t get visuals.
Like, Ghost Wolf is the easiest form in the entire game to make new variations of. Literally all they have to do to make a new Ghost Wolf form is turn down the opacity on an existing beast model.
We have a grand total of 4 options for it, 2 of which were only added as recently as Shadowlands, and 1 of the others is just a recolor of the base form.
Our Feral Spirit summons are barely any more complicated, as the only thing you have to do beyond turning down opacity is tint them blue. We have a whopping 1 variant.
There are dozens of variations of each basic elemental already in the game that would require absolutely no additional work to function as summons for us, yet we have exactly 0 glyphs for changing ours in any way other than shrinking their size.
They created a ton of brand new elemental magic effects and animations for all the enemies in Dragonflight, and the only one that made it into players’ hands is the heirloom trinket from the prepatch event.
A lot of Resto builds do, particularly as they can spec into both Ascendance and Deeply Rooted Elements separately.
Enhancement is basically forced into it as of this expac by Totemic being hot garbage, and Stormbringer needing the talents locked behind Ascendance.

Please, all I want is just some wispy and lightning effects for my air elemental. Seeing my female vulpera more than double in height and become a muscular burly dude makes me take psychic damage. I really love enhancement but I’m suffering so much.

It’s the ugliest form I’ve ever seen and hope they change it or at least give us other options. Please, change the Lava Clown!
Why can’t it simply change our character into a Watery or fiery version of ourselves?
