The only thing I would say, and it may be wildly unpopular… is that unless Blizzard intends to move the Alliance and Stormwind specifically out of a monarchy; quite honestly it doesn’t make sense to make the King non-straight. This is medieval fantasy we are talking about. He needs to have an heir. It is expected of him.
Regardless, I have seen no evidence in-game either for this supposed pseudo-romance between him and Wrathion. People are weird. That punch wasn’t sexual tension… he genuinely hates him for his father’s death… come on people.
But, I understand our society needs validation and reflection of our reality, so I couldn’t care less what they decide to do, so long as the game continues to develop within it’s original roots.
It is the most common ship. Wranduin is arguably the most popular ship among the playerbase. It is the only personal chemistry Anduin has. It is some of the only realistic chemistry we’ve seen built up in the game. It will be a shame when they throw that away because they invented a new young female human nobody ever heard of who’s the child of a super important person who Anduin admires who apparently never talked about the fact that he has a child.
Well given it’s a fantasy world it doesn’t really mean it has to follow the rules strictly the same as earth. It’s possible in Warcraft an adopted Heir could be suitable and recognized as noble enough to be a crowned prince or princess.
I started on another server and accidentally came across an in-game wedding! It was so cool with all these characters gathered. I just sat on a distant boulder and watched
I mean, sure. It’s never ever happened in the entire history and lore of humans in warcraft. Dwarves almost went to Civil War on account of Moira who IS the actual heir… but sure. I can happen. Like I said, I don’t mind if it does. I just want it to be well done.
Not really I much rather experience stories in game.
However, I will say that its good to know more story is coming out in this book… without it there be less yummy RPG elements to gameplay I love to experience, that sometimes are added because of these books.
Kinda like how Shaw and Fairwind have only one interaction in game, and in that one Shaw sounds downright done with Fairwind, to the point that he’s barely putting up with the other. Yet you’re super excited for the book based on that single relationship.
Because it’s been stated several times that he’s interested in women. But those were in books, so it’s not surprising you didn’t know about them.
They have a whole scenario together, which is a lot more than Anduin and Taelia, who literally say 3 sentences to each other. Flynn also mentions Shaw in some quest text, and Shaw tells Valeera at the end of the campaign that he’s interested in getting to know someone better. They get together in the book and I’m interested to see how. I never said they were super gay for each other in the scenario or anything like that.
What does that prove exactly? “perceived as being gay, whether they are or not”
She never says that they’re not gay, lol.
And I’ve read the books and him finding a couple of women pretty doesn’t mean he’s interested in them.
S’okay. You made a good thread and doesn’t matter if someone else made one already, yours won’t be the same as theirs even though you’ll still get people saying there’s already one about this.
I was thinking of ordering the book, never did before but now I’m not so sure as I don’t have much time to read.
