Please answer my questions, to have a sense of where you think the story is going:
So you believe that there is no reason why Tyrande’s story is tied to the “rebirth” zone? Okay.
So it’s not worth my time arguing with you because you have no foresight or desire to predict where the story is going. You just want to foam at the mouth and be mad. Got it.
your hardly worth my time too, please actually play the beta before you start pushing some weird theory with everyone breaking character just you can have your evil forsaken fantasy without consequences
Calia is the sibling of a disgraced/corrupt former ruler who tarnished his entire family by his actions. She’s not just some random person in the diaspora. Calia returning is more like a Bourbon Restoration where an outside monarchical force is imposed by hostile foreign powers and “allies” just because they are related to the last failed monarch/regnant.
EDIT: I guess Sylvanas is Napoleon in this metaphor…or something.
My grandpa was a war criminal and my other grandpa is a war victim (from the regional violence my other grandpa had a hand in). You can’t blame someone for what their families did or who they are related to. That’s dumb.
This is one of those things that I feel like Calia-fans and anti-Calia people are never going to see eye to eye on. I considered going into how Lordaeron is a feudal system and individual members of a House absolutely share responsibility for each others crimes as well as the House itself, but meh.
It’s not worth it. You’ve already won. Calia is already a member of the Forsaken along with Lilian and Proudmoore with absolutely no friction or push-back from Forsaken society even though most Forsaken NPCs probably don’t even know who Lilian is. It’s over, it’s done. Calia is counseling Lilian and no one seems to mind or find the whole situation absurd.
Until the day Blizzard puts a crown on her head I will advocate for removing Calia and Derek (and now Lilian) from the faction.
Blizzard confirmed that Voss and Calia will be involved in the Shadowlands pre-patch. Thus I’m very curious if either of them will have a moment that will get people from the anti crowd to go “alright, you can stay.”
Tyrande yelling at her and blaming her for Teldrassil
The hypothetical ideal questiline mentioned above in this post, which would allow her to engage with every “major” dimension of Vanilla through Legion Forsaken-ness:
Her willingly using her usually ignored Shadow powers in some dramatic way, .e.g Shadow Ascendant
Her bonding with, idk, Thalyssra (as the New Girls on the Block), and Lorthemar (previous Alliance now Horde bonding), and Bwonsamdi (musing about death)
Her pushing back on Baine regarding the Alliance
Would these 6 things (one of which is various things) be enough?
No? Not unless she reacted to it in a way that isn’t favorable for the Alliance. I’d be more interested in the Alliance harming the Horde and her reacting to it as a crime.
No? She wasn’t even there. Tyrande’s stupid. News at 11.
That’d be necessary, yes.
I don’t think her holy powers are as big of a deal as I do her very clearly being an Alliance spy sent to control the Horde for the Alliance.
She does need to bond with the Horde as opposed to the Alliance.
I mean, does one react favorably to being stabbed in the back with void tendrils by someone you partially raised?
I’d be down for Anduin cornering Calia in a rage, “WHAT DO YOU KNOW YOU MONSTER”, using shadow magic to choke her, and her breaking out as a Shadow Ascendant, realizing he intends on killing her if she doesn’t help him, and that he doesn’t actually consider her fully human anymore.
Nor were most Forsaken, I imagine, and yet lol
Nice
Eh. For me part of the Forsaken mythos, and why I made a Shadow Priest Alt, is the Cult of Forgotten Shadow dimension. I would love for Calia’s progression to include Natalie Seline getting an Undead model and the Cult of Forgotten Shadow taking a bigger “center” in Forsaken culture. Maybe a nice Shadow Cathedral in the Forsaken starting area.
That just makes it Calia reacting to a Calia problem instead of a Horde problem.
That tells me she’s self interested, but I already think she’s self interested. I don’t think she’s Horde interested.
I follow Christie Golden on twitter and I too know for a fact she tweeted this at some point. But she tweets a lot, and by a lot I mean a lot a lot, and who wants to try and find it? Not me. That’s who.
This would be interesting for me to see. I’m not sure how he’d react to a human wanting to talk to him, but I think he’s flexible with non-troll races, judging by the deals that he’s made
But… wouldn’t it lead to some people doing CaliaxBwonsamdi? O_o
