Well that is gone now too.
Yes because Essences, the Heart of Azeroth, and the Cloak are totally going to be in Shadowlands. How about you actually look at what they said instead of taking a quote and shoving it into an example that makes zero sense.
All the elements are there they are just called different things.
Essences = soul binds / coveant
Heart of Azeroth = Anima
Cloak = Torghast Tower (legendary progression system)
Seems like he’s saying “they told us one thing but their current actions point in another direction.”
Blizzard doesn’t want this game to fail. They don’t want to drive people away. Any sane person will admit that Blizzard is going to want as many people as possible so they can make as much money as possible.
Problem is, it’s hard to believe Blizzard when they say they’ve learned from the alt difficulties in BfA and then they go and add another layer to alt upkeep.
Uhhh… no. Essences and Soulbinds are very different. The essence system is just 3 passives and 1 active ability. The Soulbind system is akin to the Legion Artifact tree.
Nope.
Are you just shoving stuff in and expecting it to make sense?
This is the only one that could be right. If it weren’t for the fact that these Legendaries are CRAFTED in Torghast, and are similar to Legion Legendaries in how they give specializations unique abilities tied to the armor.
and here i have to farm conquest to get a weapon because they simply don’t drop for me in pve…
it’s like they’ve been removed from the loot tables
Shadowlands will be alt friendly grindy.
All 3 are essentially the same thing. Something you grind, that gives you traits and abilities.
Heart of Azeroth is the same thing as Anima because its the AP you grind to unlock other things. Ap was in legion it unlocked traits and abilities. Ap was in BFA it unlocked traits on your gear and essences more traits and passives and abilitis. Anima which is the AP of Shadowlands you grind it unlocks guess what traits, passives and abilities.
This is almost a copy of the BFA cloak progression system, with class flavor thrown in so you might not all be working on the same legendary if you are a different class
The only positive reason for the cloak and essence grind in 8.3 would be that they are a ways away from Shadowlands and they have to keep us busy with as little content but as much grind as possible… but who knows
Except Legion’s artifact system was fun.
So…AP=Anima then. Not Heart of Azeroth=Anima.
So disregard everything I just said.
Legion was mediocre at best. Only reason it seems good is because it was right in the middle of the worst two expansions of wow. It couldn’t hold a candle to MoP, Wrath or BC.
Thus begins the Shadowlands litany of denial-
Wait until more info…
Wait until Alpha…
Wait until Beta…
Wait until release…
Wait until 9.1…
Pass.
How about this time you earn my cancelled sub back instead of telling me to wait…
What do you expect when the marketing team is running the show? They fill you up with flash and BS and give you just enough to call the product finished.
All creativity and those somewhat in touch with the game and playerbase left. Now the marketing team is running the show and hiring labor as cheap as they can find that will still deliver a “finished” product.
Once their bottom line is hurt again, they’ll fire those guys and hire replacements.
They’re racing to the bottom and all promises are lip service.
A pattern as predictable as the rising sun. Every single expansion, every single patch, every time.
Agreed.
I would like to hear the arguments but right now most arguments center on character progression via rentals.
Good: actions are more valuable than words!
I truly hope you find something you enjoy!
That is correct because now it is a soft cap once more.
I agree with this. On an alt I’ve gone from 12 neck to 66 in 1 week. Actually I’m at 66 on two alts now and 58 on a third, and around 62 on a fourth. Next I start working on Miree.
Assuming I can find the time. lol
Thanks Ukhu, I have.
If they are marketing the expansion as alt friendly they need to meet with the marketing team and be on the same page. Because the lack of communication between Blizz staff is self evident by now.
