Shadowlands was actually better than Dragonflight and War Within

lol I feel that.

:100: agree with the Torghast comment, delves feel like dogwater to me. I only played the last iteration of Torghast and the powers kept it fun and interesting.

I like devles more because it isn’t reliant on you having a good run with RNG power pick ups. Delves is you and your skills vs the place. Vastly more fun.

Torghast tried to take the trend of rougelites that was happening at the time and putting it into wow and it didn’t work imho.

I thought the zones and their stories were incredibly boring and tried to pay attention to them
They were really really bad. The art in the Maw was really cool, the chains going to Torghast was awesome looking, and Torghast was spooky and really cool looking as well. Also didn’t like the covenant trees and found them kind of meh.

Oh without a doubt TWW’s zones > SL’s zones. There is no argument there imo.

I have and will continue to say that they killed it on zone design and music for TWW.

yes, I recognize I’m getting baited by a 12 year old for attention. That’s about all your conjecture amounts to.

And let’s not forget

ANIMA

Asking us to choose between upgrading the thing that lets us get more Anima, or getting gear, or getting aesthetics was terrible.

There should have been separate currencies for that crap. Oh, and asking us to spend Anima on the mission table, to get more Anima, to spend elsewhere.

Just a bad system all the way around.

^ Exactly this.

When I went through it at the SL launch there wasn’t any choices in where you quested.
As I haven’t bothered to go back, who knows what they did to it now.

I still don’t get wtf Anima even is.

Whatever you need to say to remain comfortably ignorant, I suppose.

Some kind of soul energy type thing that was used as currency during SL, instead of order supplies/resources/whatever.

can someone explain to me how lore death works in this game?

when you die you go to the shadowlands. if you die there you are just consumed? or what

Guess it is just soul juice that never runs out. It was so weird because sometimes it is red, sometimes it is blue, white. I just stopped trying to make sense of it all.

Given their replies, I’m starting to think this is just a bait thread. They aren’t even defending or explaining their arguments, they’re just dismissing everything that disagrees with them. I wasn’t engaged with either. Might be time to just move on from this thread.

yes and it makes sense, theres not a 2Âș heaven

This.

I remember how Boomies were okayish to play until you got powerups that made the spec fun. More Full Moon and CA has less CD than it does outside.

Made me hate it because my spec felt complete in a mode where temporary powers are temporary instead of permanent.

What I gathered a soul is super hard to destroy. So it is a rare thing but I guess once your soul gets deleted, that is it. So Garrosh is 100% gone.

So many plot holes in SL, lol.

It appears some beings are annihilated entirely
but yet others aren’t. And for some reason YOU can die as many times as you want (because of the 4th wall, obviously).

It’s just
 kinda stupid.

Maybe it’s just more Shadowlands after that.

Can you imagine?

it’s like the layers in torghast. layers of shadowlands.
