It’s very obviously getting dislike bombed for a very obvious trolly reason.
Pretty sure a lot of people are also just fed up with WoW and hate it no matter what, but then still play if for some reason.
People completely misses the point of Sylvanas
This is The Last Jedi of WoW cinematics.
Maybe I’m crazy but I don’t think any expansion came with gametime before.
Only the World of Warcraft Complete Collection includes 30 days of free game time . Standalone expansions do not include additional free game time . If you need to add time to an account, please visit our Managing a World of Warcraft Subscription article for more information.
Oh I was right~
Nah I just have enough sense to realize that this happens with every expac, first TBC was bad writing and gonna destroy the game, then WotLK was gonna be the death of WoW, then Cata was gonna be the downfall of WoW and terrible writing, then Pandaria was gonna kill WoW and was terrible writing, as its been with every since expansion since TBC’s launch, so yes its a bunch of crybabies whining over nothing.
You sound a bit upset though, you need some margaritas for all that salt? Don’t let it go to waste.
Cinematic was boring. Sylvanas sucks as a character. There was no mind-blowing fight scene, just her soundly defeating the new Lich King unbelievably with some arrows and ‘mysterious’ death magic or whatever again.
How can something like that ever compare to a truly iconic cinematic like TBC’s where Illidan says “You are not prepared.”
Y’all said the same thing about Mists and now it’s one of the most positively rated trailers.
I liked parts of the trailer, but the defeating the lich king and ripping the helm was a bit eye rolling. I am excited about the new xpac. Hopefully they have learned something from this failure of a xpac.
It wasn’t supposed to be suspenseful, it was to show Sylvanas opening this gateway, that up until this point, we didn’t even know existed at Icecrown.
Also Bolvar never would have stood a chance against her anyway, Bolvar LK =/= Arthas LK. Arthas was insanely powerful due to Frostmourne, most of his power came from that sword and its ability to absorb souls of conquered enemies and with each enemy become stronger, Bolvar as LK without Frostmourne is basically just a beefed up DK and little more.
I will say, the cinematics team is probably the best i’ve ever seen it to date, but holy to god the godawful storywriting sucks. And we all thought Love kerrigan when Metzen was getting old was kinda weird, but WHO’S WRITING THIS STUFF?!?!!?
I am having Sylvanas fatigue.
Content devs > Alex Afrasiabi > Steve Danuser(the guy that RPs as Nathanos on Twitter) > Christie Golden and others.
Oh dear. I fear you have missed the memo. All of your fellow Alliance players have spent the last 12 months begging Blizzard to merge the two factions into one team under Lord God Emperor Anduin.
There is no more Alliance.
All story from this moment on is Hordelliance story.
Enjoy!
Because it was predictable.
They haven’t caught us off guard with something that we didn’t expect since WoD. We were expecting a Legion expansion back then, instead of WoD as the MOP storyline was teasing the Legion.
And much of the responses are the WoW version of toxic fandom.
You’ve all made me angry so now im going to unleash Moonguard fanfiction to try and pray in hopes knowing that i can write a worst story, somehow, than This gloryous masterpiece.
“Anduin flew down beautifully down the flight of stairs, falling into each and every doorhandle as he spat out peace and love fortune cookies aging backwards becoming less legion manly and more babyfaced with each fall as he giggled sucking on his thumbs and a Saurfang’s tear Baby bottle.”
“I AM SUPER COOL AND ABOUT TO GO DIE!” Screamed Emo Saurfang, who was now juggling his dead son Saurfang DK jr from Icecrown. Who was now a full grown man with a axe swinging it at Anduin.
Arthas rose from his grave, and took up yodeling in the alpacas. Suddenly, Sylvanas decided to seek revenge by marrying and kissing him and hugging Genn Graymane with a death potion. Unfortunately Sylvanas was so powerful that it was actually a secret ungod freeing potion.
With a gasp, Jaina turned around as the form of Mal’Ganis revealed itself. “I AM A TURTLE!” She screamed, as she summoned a pile of dreadlords.
Sylvanas cackled, as she kissed Scourge the Warrior cat from below and descended into Shadow the Hedheg form. “I HAVE ALL THE CHAOS EMERALDS NOW, FOOLS!”
One punch man then appeared and said “Hello, so i hear that you are the most powerful mary sue in the world, can i try?” and punched her in the face.
Guts splattered everywhere, darkness erupted, the shriek of banshees rang through the air.
“Neat” said Saitama as he stared hopelessly with his one punch. Then he flicked his finger and went to pick his nose.
However, unbenowst to him, nosevanas was secretely A DREADLORD!
Unfortuntately for her, Saitama’s nose had the hydralic pressure of a nuclear missle and promptly erupted her to mars.
Genos then showed up and did the peanuts dance with Thrall and they danced and became best friends.
Anduin would later go on to marry Scourge and Shadow the hedheg to produce majecstic little tiny warrior alliance lion abomination cats who’d preach peace, love, murder, throat ripping and cool metal stuff and then fireheart would become a fire druid and light all the tables on fire.
Then we ran out of plot and everyone died, the end.
For the first time, it’s clickbait.
leaks Lich King high res image

entire video is about Sylvanas
WoW is on life support bud. If this next expansion fails, it’s over.
I genuinely find it confusing when people dismiss an objective measurement of dislike because it doesn’t fit their world view. More people dislike this trailer then any other trailer for prior expacs. That is objectively true. There are reasons that one can point to for why that might be, and some of those reasons might be ‘because people who hate are more vocal’, but science has shown that when you’re talking tens of thousands of people those kinds of numbers average out with the ‘people who really like things and are vocal’.
The like to dislike ratio, especially when dealing with such large numbers, is a good way to measure the success or failure of that thing. Whether that success or failure will stretch to the game itself is another matter. But right now, that video is liked by only 2/3rds of the viewers who watched it. And yes, that number is actually what it is. You are right in that you didn’t like it and didn’t press a button saying you didn’t like it, but as mentioned science has already shown how this sort of measurement is accurate to the over all feelings of the crowd. Just as many people, like myself, watched it, didn’t like it and didn’t give it a thumbs down.
So objectively, it is liked less. The question is why. How about answering that instead of trying to argue with facts? How about actually talking about the substance of the issue at hand instead of pretending that we don’t have a factual, objective measurement of the like/dislike ratio? How about stop feeding into the mentality of the people who think facts can be ignored in favor of ‘feelings’ because it’s easier then analyzing something or having your own thoughts?
I for one disliked the trailer. I feel like they could have done so much else to show us the Shadowlands reveal… Having the Death Knights and Paladins still in Northrend patrolling/fighting undead seeing that tear in the sky and then going to investigate, only to find an empty throne and hints of a battle would have been way more fascinating to me. The fight itself was boring. I acknowledge that Bolvar is personally weaker then Arthas without Frostmourne, and Sylvanas probably snuck up on him given he only had so many undead there to defend himself, but there is so much Bolvar could have done, up to and including retreating into the citadel, and honestly I’ve got Sylvanas fatigue.
She was an interesting character right up until Legion, when they killed my favorite fricking Warchief after giving him literally nothing for an expac to put her in charge and then do Jack and Squat with her. She had her own personal thing in Stormheim, which was cool, but did not fit the feel of her being the Warchief, or the feel of her rallying the troops after Voljins death.
She was an awful warchief. She was Garrosh 2.0, ending with a siege of Ogrimmar. The fact that we didn’t actually have the siege doesn’t mean we weren’t there ready to or that, in the end, she did EXACTLY what Garrosh did after he got beat and ran off to some alternate dimension where she had more allies. She was exactly what we were promised she wasn’t. And ultimately it doesn’t matter if she was more compelling then Garrosh, when she wasn’t unless you read the books, or stronger then Bolvar, which I can acknowledge she could be with a small power boost nonetheless the kind of crap she’s clearly on. It doesn’t matter. She’s boring. This is a story we did before, with Garrosh, and it sucked back then to. And I liked Mists. Loved it. But BFA was not Pandaria and while Shadowlands looks beautiful, it feels like the Sylvanas story still, and that sucks.
Anduin putting Talanji in prison was never explained. The DIPLOMAT of the Alliance throwing a princess of a neutral nation in the fricking Stockades was NEVER EXPLAINED. But that was the inciting incident for most of BFA. Sylvanas burning down Teldrassil was stupid. Saurfang letting it happen was stupid. Saurfang attacking the alliance was stupid. That they acknowledge that he made these mistakes doesn’t make them any less stupid after we had a fricking civil war in the horde once already over monstrous stuff like that. In the end, he and every Sylvanas supporter are literal war criminals responsible for the deaths of thousands… and yet Blizz wants to brush it all under the rug and pretend they aren’t so we can move onto the next expac and so no one feels bad about being a hateful little wretch.
At least in Swtor, no one pretends that the fricking Sith Empire isn’t a racist dictatorship. When you sign up with the literal evil side, you accept that you’re playing a villain. But in WoW, everyone was given equal legitimacy, from Sylvanas detractors to her supports, and in the end that meant that the morally right answer had just as much weight as the morally wrong one. Side with Sylvanas, genocide and world war because it’s fun? You are just as right as the side that doesn’t want to murder civilians and burn them alive in their homes, according to WoW.
And that is why this trailer didn’t do it for me. That is why Sylvanas doesn’t do it for me.
