She was also the person who told the last defenders of lordaeron that they were friendly undead who would help them take the city back from the dreadlords, only to then betray and murder them. There’s plenty to be said about the alliance’s inherent distrust and violence towards the forsaken, but Sylvanas didn’t exactly make a good first impression there.
She defended the Forsaken as long as she could but Anduin and the Forsaken overran Lordaeron and she had to leave. Also because her soul was compromised she actually believed that she was taking everyone to a death which would be more just than the way it was being run by the Eternals.
I was talking about the events was warcraft 3. She and the forsaken fought with Garithos and his men to retake lordaeron and then betrayed them. Keeping the city for herself.
So did Sylvanas and the Forsaken reform an alliance later? Back when I was leveling Blood Elves in Quel’Thalas the next place we went was Lordaeron and Sylvanas was there with the Forsaken.
Sorry I was ambiguous with how I wrote that. She betrayed the humans and killed them. Not the other undead. That was actually right before the moment she named them Forsaken. She was doing it for their sake and protection, because at that point it was very clear that all undead had a target on them. But still, it was duplicitous on her part. Those humans had done nothing wrong (apart from the racism of Garithos which played a big part in pushing the blood elves away from the alliance). They were survivors of the absolute decimation of their homeland. And most of the undead fighting with Sylvanas were their kin just months earlier, and victims of that very same decimation. You can understand why she did it. But it didn’t really help her case that they were different from the scourge.

Then did she raise them as undead? Because if she did, she was just inviting them to join her side where she would protect them and give them a new undead life.
Lol, nah. At that time she didn’t have any means of raising new undead. She couldn’t do that until the valkyr joined her ranks after Arthas was killed. And in the case of Garithos he was very much ripped apart and eaten by ghouls.
Actually her story jumped the shark starting in catacalysm when she led the forsken invasion on gilneas.
So she killed Garithos, Uther threw Arthas into the Maw and Anduin tried to kill the Archon. They all started their new experience with death a little ragged around the edges.
I have to admit I made my mistakes in life as well. No one is perfect.
Sylvanas is still my hero.

For the story I sort of “piece things together” from the bits and pieces I get indirectly via Youtube videos or listening to live dungeon/raid NPC dialogue via twitch streams
i think most are sylvanas loyalist from when she wasn’t trash and hoping she won’t be trash anymore, some are trolls. too late, story is borked beyond repair and she’s on clean up duty in the maw lmao.
