Some streamer likes it. Other streamers this morning didn’t so it was a terrible system.

its better than nothing. Granted, it would probably have been wiser to add a pvp stat to all gear then there wouldn’t be an issue. Much like politics, there seems to be a thing for one group griping about another. Fixing pvp gear was as simple as adding air to a tire instead of manufacturing a new car from raw materials.
Ya, sadly this is what it feels like, based on the OP’s disinterest in actually being able to summarize the topic.
Makes me feel like there is some over-hyping of a relatively small change being pushed around here.

Frankly i don’t see a problem with this system. Its very easy to get 1400 rating then upgrade the gear. For those who just want to join a normal bg and go afk or put forth the least amount of effort to attain the highest gear… too bad. you lose. No blue ribbon for you.

I guess it remains to be seen how adequate unrated or 1400 gear is going to be in random BGs. Probably like in BFA where it was enough but not superb. I would be super happy if I was arena player, but as casual I’m a bit meh on this system. It’s as bit better than BFA, because it’s actually a vendor, but still it seems PvErs will own random BGs.
For the very unlucky, in a RBG you may lose 4 out of 5, more realistically you’ll win 50/50. In 2’s arenas, even if you lose every single match, the other team may not queue in one or both players part of the time which will give you a win… A healer that likes to RP in a pve guild (points at Ion) could get 1400 easily.
Y’all killed your own PvP servers, Warmode was made to save you.
It was more like to save PvEers if anything.
As a non-PvP player.

This won’t last.
Rated PvP is unpopular for a reason. Unrated PvPers aren’t all of a sudden going to flock into rated to be cannon fodder for the handful of high level players.
They just won’t PvP anymore.

Nah, PvE servers were fine. We weren’t the ones crying about having nobody to pvp with in the open world, for obvious reasons.

Wasn’t mentioning PvE servers. I’m talking about PvE players who rolled on PvP realms. Also my realm was just fine. Plenty of players on both sides constantly fighting.
Good for your realm, but Warmode wasn’t invented for one realm.
As a random battleground player I just no longer feel welcome here. Why can’t we get any love too?

If you think it was just for PvE players, or even mostly for PvE players, you’re sadly mistaken.

You’re going to have to educate me on when you could viably get the best gear from Random BGs.
I can say for sure that it wasn’t for PvP players.

It’s not going to fix anything, to upgrade the gear you need a minimum rank of 1400 which isn’t difficult. However, the majority of people are going to cry and complain they can’t get heroic raid gear through solo que random BGs.
Anyone that does rated will be fine, the only people upset are people who want free stuff. If you skim this thread alone you will see it starting to happen.
