My M+ capable character is already renown 80 so I can’t test it myself, but a friend who has completed the Shadowlands storyline, joined a covenant, and all that as far as I recall is required to start earning renown has mentioned that he is not receiving renown from completing the Shadowlands dungeons in Mythic or Mythic+ difficulty.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or could there be something that he is missing?
I don’t remember receiving renown for dungeons in SL though?
Well, I guess if the weekly was tied to a zone, dungeon bosses in that zone contributed toward the weekly quest, but simply running a dungeon hasn’t contributed rep for a while now.
I could have sworn that dungeons were one of the most reliable ways in SL to get near guaranteed catch-up renown drops, on top of daily quests and world bosses. At least according to some Wowhead guides it seems like M+ dungeons should give renown, and I remember them giving renown back in SL.
I did a ton in SL and never remember getting it from the dungeon directly, but you had weekly quests to do two dungeons and story quests to complete them.
