Shadowlands lore still hurts me to my core

I wonder if they can be got for false advertisement now, if it’s still marketed that way.

Well, there’s certainly a few characters that are extremely well known. LK is just one of a handful.

Sorta shocked they have not been sued for false advertising yet.

Ohhhhhh boy, someone who bought those books needs to consult a lawyer cause I think they have a class action right there lol.

Definitive also means

  1. Serving to define or identify as distinct from others.

I guess thats why legally they haven’t been sued yet. The book series is certainly distinct from anything they done before

They should have just stuck to their word. Handle any involvement of Arthas carefully, or don’t do it at all. They should have just not done it at all imo. Arthas already had his story told and concluded. Just leave it.

Ah so it’s silly that this still gets my goat and is the reason I’m never actually going to get invested in WoW ever again? Good to know lol, if they weren’t going to do anything with him don’t say we’ll see him and disrespect people who liked him. Would’ve been better to not have even mentioned it at all

I didn’t say people don’t have the right to be upset, I just said I find it silly. There’s things I dislike(d) about the game, but I just say my piece, shrug and go find something I do enjoy and move on

People are allowed to have opinions different from yours.

lol I’m not upset with the post it was more like “ah guess I’m just a silly guy” Since I was upset with his send off, honestly though should’ve never have touched him if that’s what they were gonna do.

I checked out of SLs early on so never had to play through it all, yet seeing it in a cinematic chapped my hide.

Ah okay. Feelings are hard to read through text is all

Again, I personally have no issue with his sendoff. Could it have been done better? Sure, but you know, truthfully? There’s a lot to WoW that I love more than I dislike.

Even if there are story decisions I have issue with. Mostly with how it was presented

Turns out since I’ve stepped away from WoW I’ve found there’s more things I dislike then like, a lot of them stem from how spoiled I am for RP quality of life things that ff has and just a cohesive narrative.

The narrative can be a bit messy and or chaotic. A lot of that has to do how blizz presents their new lore to the game. Things kind of just pop out of nowhere.

There is no can about it lol, it’s definitely messy and chaotic. But it’s more in terms of shadowlands how there retroactively added this big bad named the jailer, and heaped all these accomplishments on him without actually putting the leg work in to making him.

It is because FF writes large arcs, and WoW has historically written in a modular fashion. It is almost like each expansion happened in a parallel universe from the last. Nearly two decades in, they have realized perhaps that was a bad idea, after all.

It will be interesting to see how well Blizzard can pull of multi-expansion arcs. It is uncharted waters for them.

It’s what I meant by things just popping up out of nowhere. Zooval might have worked if they teased him since Wrath. Little snippets like a odd laughter where the LK is strongest, or scourge whispering of a unseen force tugging on their minds.

Anything really to let us know he was behind the scenes

Eh, it is most likely still the case that they fade away over time unless anchored. Chronicle never stated how long it takes for any given timeline to fade away so it still works. One could take thousands of years, one could take twenty. Who knows.

I’d have to ask… what’s there to like? Yes he has a great California surfer dude physique, and at times he certainly TRIES to be good, but that pretty much exhausts his worthy qualities.

He’s the epitome of overwheening pride and entitlement, he’s stubborn, and he doesn’t listen. And when he doesnt’ get his way, he’s downright nasty and vindictive.

Joffrey Baratheon was a great character because of how awful he was. Do you think that liking a villain means you endorse that villain’s behaviors?

Joffrey was pretty well hated by the fans of GoT though, due to how aweful he was :joy:

Can substitute Daemon Targaryen as a more recent example of an objectively terrible person that fans like. Or fall back to my original examples: Walter White, The Joker, Negan.
