No… because I enjoyed the zones, the storylines and the leveling in Warlords. I also loved my garrisons, crafting and even reputations.
End game may have been lacking and we were missing a lot of content, but what we did have, I had a lot of fun with.
I leveled a lot of characters across 3 servers in Warlords. Thus far in SL, I’ve leveled 4 on one server.
WoD was better for sure. Even BfA was better than SL.
You know, I was going to disagree and say that the only part of WoD that was good was the raids. Shadowlands doesn’t even have that going for it.
I had subbbed the entire expanion in WOD, it was great and would do it all again if the next expac was good.
WoD was alt friendly, class gameplay was fun for most classes, killer raids and good dungeons. Also some real real good tmog came from the raids too.
The music was better than SL. Actually I feel it was probably the best soundtrack (including raids) of them all.
That’s fair, i usually have the music and effects turned down for discord. I’ll have to check it out.
this is why we end up with so much grind and time gating - ppl complaining nothing to do.

Hey Silverleigh, have you considered WoW classic? I am very excited for classic WotLK to come out because I consider it to be a very good expansion for its story (as well as MoP for the same reasons). Have you considered leveling a TBC character and enjoying the pre-cata stories? I hope it’s a relevant suggestion, I have been enjoying it and maybe you would too!
For all of the problems WoD had (and there were many) it still felt better to play then SL (which has many many problems).
Except 75% of the music was BC music.
Thing is WoD content was cut from stupidity decisions. Technically it’s hardly worth calling a full expansion where as Shadowlands content wasn’t cut, but eventually realization showed how bad design it was.
WoD is only bad because of cut content and garrison issues while Shadowlands is pretty much all of it and it took them almost the destruction of their company to patch in the healthy suggestions for the game. However then comes the removal of stuff not important to the game QoL for Shadowlands.
Said this a bunch of times alredy, will say it again.
WoD is better than anything that followed it simply for the things it didn’t do.
WoD didn’t destroy classes (it only cut some limbs), wod kept the previous functioning progression systems, WoD didn’t have AP/Azerite/Anima although it did have Apexis but it was basically worthless.
Even if there wasn’t much content to do the replay value of having somewhat fun classes and alts being a thing far outweighs getting some new island with dailies.
And at least they tried class tuning, remember when this was a thing?
I actually played the entirety of WoD, what we had felt of much higher quality and way less forced, and most classes were so well designed…
So far I have cancelled my sub twice in shadowlands, maybe 9.2 will bring me back but seeing how darn stupid 9.1.5 I have a hard time believing that will happen.

Not even close. WoD was a travesty. The only good thing from that xpac were the model revamps. And Glad Stance.
WoD was sooooo much better than Trashlands. I had so much fun pvping all day across a plethora of alts.
Anyone saying that any expansion is worse than WoD is honestly delusional.
WoD was the worst expansion Blizzard ever released. Filled with broken promises, cut content, a non-existent end-game unless you were really into PvP or Raiding (barely any casual content compared to MoP) a haphazardly put together story and it was ultimately cut short, costing us an entire raid tier in the process.
Shadowlands has flaws, but as far as content goes, it is leagues above WoD in every way.
What we got from WoD was better in quality than shadowlands or bfa. Easily. I enjoyed the time I played the max level content more so than I’ve enjoyed the time spent in the other two expansions. More to do doesn’t mean it is better. They cut WoD short, they messed up a lot of things with that expansion… we got legion at its expense and it wasn’t the worst expansion. But the last two expansions are easily the worst expansions on my list.
The raids were more fun to me, the dungeons, the leveling experience was better in WoD. The story was just as bad as shadowlands really. They just messed up that expansion…too much was missing.
The garrison was a great concept but they did way to much (also too little in some ways like customization) with it. 
I liked the garrison more than covenants.
A big difference was the classes, they felt good to play until legion pre patch. Shadowlands was their attempt to make them better again after they made them all the same for legion but it’s not as good as WoD classes.
