Shadowlands in-game Requirements

@kozzae: Since you were nice enough to provide a great response I will expand about BFA. When we viewed the video very early in the pre-release, it said nothing about needing to unlock them. Nor did the initial pre-release page like they have now for the Shadowland. If you go look at Shadowland, when it talks about the 4 Covenants, it says nothing like “After leveling through each land, you can then embark on a unique campaign to choose a Covenant.” Do I normally sit and read through all these forums? Nope. I have a life and it isn’t all WoW. We have been buying the expansions for 15 years and never had to make sure and dig into what the release is to understand we could play races we paid for. This was a First. Was it a lesson? Yes it was… we now know not to trust in what Blizzard will release in the future, we need to learn as much as possible before just dolling out $$. Whether that is agreeable by anyone else, I’m sure each person see’s it differently, but I shouldn’t have to read through forums or in-depth reviews to find this info. Even as it is, you made it clearer as to what the Covenant involves than Blizzards own release page. No, I’m not the type of person who just buys things without reading up on it, but as I said, I never had to with Blizzard in the past. When Panda came out, we could just create a Panda. We trusted Blizzard and realize now, before buying, to make sure and research what we can first. This is a game, I shouldn’t have to do a bunch of research, it should be made clear… just like the release now, it’s not clear on their page… it just says “Align yourself with one of the Shadowlands’ four Covenants”… not making it as clear as you did. Even when BFA came out and we were trying to find out how to play one of the races, a GM contacted me and all he would say is “he he, let me give you a hint where to start” and gave me a link to a page that really didn’t say much about. He was all secretive about something I paid for. I wasn’t happy. I understand there are much better pages now that explain how to do it, but I guess I view my money differently… if I paid for it, they should just provide it or give me a straight up quest line to get it done… no secret stuff. I checked my email just now and I spoke to a GM again about it about 6 months ago and it was the same crap… “let me give you a hint where to start.” A Hint!?? Why not just give me a website or quest line to do it. I know Blizzard probably feel’s we should be spending all our time reading forums or researching websites about it, but this is a game I play with my Wife and daughter when I have time. Life keeps me busy. Please don’t say maybe I should be playing something else… we enjoy it… you should see us all sitting around with our Laptops laughing and having fun. I just don’t think it should be so “secretive”… and yes, I’ve since found the webpages on how to get them, it’s a matter of now taking the time to do it. As it is, I’m still not real clear if I unlock one, if it unlocks them all… I’m thinking not. Which means we will have to grind through for each one.

BTW - Thanks for being so nice. I just don’t post in the forums because it’s usually not a good experience and I’ve tried posting in game through the Help option, but I get an email back from a GM telling me to post in the forums. Yes, my post to them is always civil.
