I’m excited for Shadowlands but I’m also wondering if they have more to announce. The tower sounds cool and I hope it is.
I was expecting a big casual like feature like transmog or Pokemon hunting. Now that I say that out loud I’m not sure what that could be but player housing / collecting decorations. I’m sure there are other ideas.
Remember how we got looking for group midway between wrath? I am hoping they start adding class skins like that by 9.2. Some of the covenants have good themes to base new class skins.
Fae druids, blood mages, necromancers, soul hunters(dh) etc.
I’m in it for the potential transmog and the horizontal progression.
Also my totems are coming back! I missed you Searing Totem, never leave me again!
4 reputations (which you pick 1) and an RNG tower. Thats about it.
class changes are done every time anyway, thats not a feature.
Maybe if they actually get them all done before launch we can put a star sticker on it.
Even if Shadowlands didn’t have any real NEW features (it does), do people really expect something unique and original every single expansion for a 15 year old game, as opposed to, you know, just getting new content on a larger scale than a patch can provide?
Also being so early in development we are more than likely going to see things added that were not talked about at Blizzcon.
Not a new major selling point though. Even if they didn’t have anything to show, they’d tease that crap to hype people up and sell preorders.
But if people have some requirement in their head that a new feature has to be some mindblowing fundamental gamechanger or the expansion isn’t worth buying, then…
1: They should have “quit” multiple times before now
2: Realistically they’re just looking for a reason to call an expansion a patch and whine about having to pay money for something that’s been in development for years.
At the end of the day people want to play a game for free, never mind the company needs money to keep the lights on, the servers running so forth.
No Electricity= no power=no game. Also No Internet Provider= no game as well.
No Money also= no new game content, or new titles.
As soon as I heard about Tower of the Damned, I couldn’t help but play an Act of Diablo 3 tbh lol. I just love random dungeon generators…they make things so replayable to me.
Or it could be just doing dailies or something like that over 2 or 3 weeks. Covenants will not be theres nothing hinting towards that at least to me seems like a glorified mega 7th legion/honorbound to me as they are tied to the story, the build a leggo shop I see dropping some time into but it will end. Anima is the ap replacement and is supposed to be a very toned down grind. We will see I guess.

Features. Is the thread. There is enough customization there that some allied races have.
The content will be the same usual plus towers and covenants. Which if its like orderhalls/garrisons and surmar ot can be fun enough. If your mad we dont get a new class or something I have to ask do you play all the classes ingame right now and still want more? I wish I had the time and patience to regrind stuff 12 x but add another class that would be 13×
All the information we know about the expac is just the first official bit of information. We don’t know all of the details for what they’re changing and adding yet. It’s just too early in the development stage to know for sure. But they are listening to some extent: no AP grind, better play for alts, more customization options, more solo play options, legendaries/effects, more adventure, etc.
The idea of Torghast sold it to me, really.
Yes, if you ignore all of the features, it doesn’t have any features.
I’m a little bit worried about soul binds becoming the new essences/alts issue but I’m super psyched for no new AP.

I LOVED it! My main class never played better, except maybe in MoP.
Now, i have not played any spec EXCEPT BM since Legion and BfA! Only spec’d BM if it was for a TAME only in MoP, like for the special wolf pet quest. Then again you only needed to be BM spec every time you spoke to the wolf ghost NPC.
No… basically no feature except rogue tower.
Sorry, but extra hairstyle or tattoo is not new feature worthy 60$.
Hah, that’s funny bc I would pay 60 bucks for the hairstyles and cosmetics over everything else they put out.
But I agree they havnt really added anything expan worthy, removing stuff from game is basically all that expan seems to bring atm.
I worry about the “cap per week” at least now with the grind I can get a 65 neck in one week, capping it just means instead of being able to do it in a shorter time it means its literally locked for a set amount of weeks and will take you weeks. (that time gate and requirements hah)
is it so bad just to make something needed difficult and yet account wide so it dosnt seem so tedious. (illuuuuusionnnss) I mean they already have certain things you can buy locked to achieves already. Imagine how much more friendly it would be with that.

I dont say that I dont like these cosmetics, but I would kinda think, that since we pay for the game, and then for the subscription, they could add extra hairstyle or tatoo once a time for “free”? Not as a new amazing feature…
