I don’t disagree with this sentiment at all, but I don’t think it’ll kill the game. It’s a new design and I’ve started to adjust to it after lowering the gamma on my screen because Bastion burns my sensitive eyes.

There was a feeling in Pandaria when the Pandaren models were released. They were much higher fidelity than all the other models in the game. It was jarring. The Shadowlands feel like that comparison to the rest of Azeroth to me.
The expansion’s great, I’m enjoying the new vibes, but I think this level of aesthetic detail and polish is something the old world also deserves. Maybe something that lets us play it in more than just a flyover to get to old raids. Hopefully the older zones get some aesthetic love eventually.
