Maybe I’m just dumb but why are people so up in arms about mythic raiding being released during Christmas time? Can’t you just take the week, or even just the day, off and come back afterwards and play? Is it really that big of a deal if you not in a top 10 guild to be one of the firsts to clear the raids?

This game is some people’s entire life.

The idea that it’s a video game is a foreign concept.

So you’re really releasing mythic the week before christmas, the second week during it, and the third week of it during new years? Its already hard enough to get people’s schedules to line up without stuff like this and I guess this is just total disregard for the lives of w/e devs end up having to push hotfixes in this time frame?

Do you really need DAYS to celebrate this occasion?

Anyone who is a college student that is attending in person(most of the US) will likely be forced to travel for the holidays as schools tend to close everything down for them.
Also everyone is different.
You might not visit family, but others will.
Don’t forget the poor employees working around the clock to keep the game running during launch week as servers get pushed to capacity and things break and fall apart.

Do you really need DAYS to celebrate this occasion? I’ve never understood how much people blow up Thanksgiving given how unappreciative people are on average year after year. I mean I guess I get it, some families are more tight-knit and it’s a special occasion for them, but to act like the sky is falling is kind of overdramatic. I guess it varies, I’m an introvert that tends to absorb people’s vibes for 3-4 hours at such events then I’m out the door.

Not to mention a deadly pandemic, the numbers for which are already soaring past the Summer peak…
