besides you are wrong. you can get this mount without pet battling. There is a quest where you have 10 minutes to kill things to gain experience for your bug. You will earn it slower than people willing to do pet battles but you will still earn it.
Dont you get one just from having a lvl 3 garrison. If you have 3 alts you should have a team of 25s no?

If you mean a level 3 menagerie, then you of course would likely have some level 25’s. But it’s not gifted to you. But you can of course buy a bunch of level 1’s off the AH and start going at it.
What are those addons?
No you get a epic stone thing that automaticcally levels your pet to lvl 25 just for unlocking a garrison lvl 3.

The absolute best strategy to defeat all pets, if you don’t have a large roster or are new to pet battles , is to use an entire team of level one pets, as these legendary pets scale with your pet’s level. When the pet is scaled to your level at level one, it loses most of its abilities and difficulty.
To easily defeat all pets, simply use three level one pets that are strong against the pet’s family type.
Aqir Sandcrawler - Use beast type against it
Blotto - use Dragonkin
Retinus the Seeker - use Dragonkin
Whispers - Dragonkin
I’d also recommend buying a Unborn Valkyr pet. That thing is stupid op
Oh and maybe Ikky. A common combo is using the DoTs from the Valkyr and then using Black Claw and Flock from Ikky
That combo likely won’t work on the new battles buuuuuut it’s pretty dang useful if you need a pet battle for rep or nazjatar ones

The 2 main ones are Petracker and Rematch. Rematch for managing teams, Petracker for hunting down specific ones. They overlap each other a bit but you can change their settings to deal with that.

Wowhead is really helpful with suggestions on what to use for pet battles. I tend to just google the name of the pet I need to defeat and folks have strats in the comments of the creature

Haha. I totally forgot about stones. Yes you get one of those. You can also buy the non-soulbound ones off the AH without touching the Garrison.

I’m more annoyed you can accidentally dismiss the Shadowbarb Drone when on the quest to kill a lot of things with it out.
I got 0 exp today for it because of that.

pet battles should stay in there own little bubble and not affect the rest of the game.
the only “pet battling” i have ever done is collecting them and killing the first few trainers when my mobs are lev 25, lol. hell if i know if i got good or bad ones
i hear there’s only 1 quest you can get that’s just fighting normal with the bug at your side, the rest being pet battles. i got that one day 1 but it bugged (wow, a pun and i wasn’t even aiming for it) out and my pet left me when i still had time. looks like i’m just going to be doing that one

I do have a question that im hoping someone can help me with. I didn’t realize that they elites scaled so i have my shadowbarb hatchling at lvl 20 and its in my party. I managed to clear one of the pet battles but i couldn’t beat retinus and I’m having trouble beating the aqir sandcrawler. I have used multiple different combos of pets but nothing i do can get them even half down before my team is wiped. Does anyone have any advice on how to finish these?
This sounds like the salty spew of “OMG Forced PvP”.
Everything gated behind World of Pokemon is optional. Therefore pet battles are optional. Q.E.D.
