Shadow tuning?

Unlikely we’ll see anything prior to the raid opening. Friday evening is last orders til mid april.

Lmao… Indeed hope was lost. If there were anything, it would be here.

Theres no other talent worth taking. PL is still around 10% of overall dmg in PvP as well.

I kind of looked at it when I started the expansion. Mind you, I hadn’t played Spriest in a long while. The problem is, however, that you’re locked in heavy to the right side of the tree due to Apex Talents. Even if SW:D were good, you’re shooting yourself in the foot to deviate from the right side of the tree.

Should be okay.

The large damage loss is more of denotation that the adjustments they are making are going to give probably a net +5% increase for single target, with a net loss on aoe

I mean we’ll see, but this was not a fix to the long term viability of the spec

And again. None of those buffs include a PvP modifier. But the bug fix does. Although there is a 7% buff.

What does everyone thinks?

minus 100% damage on apparitions to targets with SWM.

But

We get 7% more damage. On everything

I think it’s technically a PvP buff?

also: it is gonna be so weird. Like really weird. When people go from single target damage in PvE to PvP. All the moves just got buffed by like 20-40% in PvE only. They will do such little damage compared to PvE it will feel weird.

As a PvE care bear, I’m looking forward to this. Changes look good, esp the 55% death boost (unsure why it doesn’t show in the list above - I see it in the main post in General Discussion).

Still a DPS loss.

That may very well be true - I don’t know the math, but having an instant I can cast that’s better, that does the damage at the start of the global than the end, will hopefully take the sting away some for someone like me that mostly uses it it to finish off world and delve mobs.

It will obviously never be as good as Touch of Death on my monk, but I’m glad it got some attention. If it could get even more, obviously no complaints from me.

It’s less damage than 1 gcd of mind flay which would take the same amount of time to deal the damage.

Bliz also buffed flay by 30%.

I do not appreciate that you’re introducing grim reality into my happy hopeful vision, before I resign myself to going back to my monk

Unfortunately, I find the world doesn’t change by pretending it already has.

Holy moly they took this spec out to the shed man.

All these single target buffs and their is not one one single target fight in the raids.

They fix shadow apparition bug, but don’t fix the one where we can nerf our damage by using tent slam before SW:M

While that’s true, 20% of those buffs goes to PL which isn’t nothing. And while there are no ST fights, boss damage tends to be more important than add damage and we’re getting an ungodly amount of ToF uptime.

If bliz get the ST tuning right (And sort the mess of backend issues that this tuning pass created because someone rushed it out without double checking things) then we should be a very solid raid spec.

Just so weird!! I mean from all the playing I’ve done so far on my Spriest it didn’t come off to be so broken OP or severely underpowered. Like I was competing fine with most specs.

These changes, seem Tone Deaf?

I think nuking pl is ultimately the right thing to do. At 60% it holds them from doing much with our st damage at all. Like none of the st buffs we just received would have been possible and without them we’d have been arms warrior tier.

I think they should revert the apparition nerfs they did in beta. Especially now the bug has been fixed.

I guess I don’t have any raid data to go off yet so I wasn’t really seeing the full picture.

Little to late I already signed up as dev DH for raid

I have Dev DH as my alt this tier. Been practicing a little and hit a 250k star on single target already.

This spec is going to be a monster.

PL should never have gotten the dominance it got.
The AoE shouldnt have been designed with PL as the main factor just because it was “easy”.
