Has a shadow priest ever been good?
True. I’m not playing shadow priest in sod just worried about them. They have been my classic and classic era PvP main and was just reviewing the glyphs and was disappointed that they fixed boomy mana but not shadow.

We have only seen P1 runes and still have 6 more slots coming. We are also already seeing mana battery runes enter the game. Paladins have seal of martyrdom and Shamanistic rage was just changed to effect the entire group.
With the severity of the mana issues I don’t think it’s gonna solve the issue. But that’s just opinion based on what we have seen so far. A lot can change.
But given the fact people chose characters based on their confidence in their viability, fun factor, and how well they vibe with the spec, I think it’s important to address it.
Yeah whoever says just wait we have more runes comming is delusional. Why would you want to play a trash spec to 25 and wait till the next patch. Thinking 6 extra runes is gonna help shadow is copium unless they completely make a change to their crit modifers and scaling. Dont forget going oom

So many doomsayers when the game is not even released. And we only knew not even a third of the runes or anything about tier sets. Srsly, this pessimistic mentality is contangious and toxic.

“Trash” is harsh.
But That means it has room to improve in phase 2
I mean have you guys play priest 1 to 25 before? Priest is by far the worst and the runes we got were awful. I also said i would like to enjoy the spec 1 to 25 without being awful. I also said they could get better in the future buttt they are going to need to fix the specs crit scaling and mana issues. We also dont have a spamable ability like other classes.
In comparisson to other classes we got a the s end of the stick. Tier sets and level 60 is a far ways out. I dont rhink people are going to want to wait that long for s priest if they ever even get good
Blind optimism isn’t helpful either.
Not wanting to invest a bunch of time into a class that barely functions until it may or may not get the changes it needs in 2 months is a valid complaint.

I feel like its more of a lvl 25 problem. Since we dont know lvl 40, 50, 60 runes, my guess is they will get something.
those “mana battery” runes return a pitiful amount of mana go do the actual math.
Maybe there will be a Hymn of Hope rune in later phases added to Priest.
I mean hymm would be nice but id rather have an active ability rather than having to cast hymm as a shadow priest
