Shadow Priest feels like a bad

There are two kinds of people where Shadow is concerned.

Lol there really are. I know numbers wise it’s decent now, I personally just do not like the playstyle.

Which is valid. It’s definitely not for everyone lol. Very niche anymore. I remember the days of spamming mindflay while letting DoTs tick down, re-up the dots and repeat.

Oh god that was so mindless. Almost as bad as BC warlocks with Shadowbolt as the entire rotation lol

Let’s face it. We’re just old xD

Ugh I know

I ran into my niece (who I held as an infant) and she’s 21. I’m over this whole aging thing

It doesn’t matter how good or bad spriest otherwise is, as long as their aoe is tied entirely to a 20 second GBAoE it’s a nonstarter for me. GBAoE are terrible and should be allowed to be targeted at current target.

Same thing for:
Ele Shaman (aoe finisher is entirely GBAoE)
Frost mage (6 second GBAoE for aoe anyone?)
Firemage (flamestrike yuk)
Destro lock (rain of fire)

I will never play any of these specs as long as a significant proportion of their power is centered around stupidly awkward mouse positioning that screws with movement and casts itself at a tree branch 50 yards in the air as often as possible.

I find spriest really fun. Having a blast playing mythic plus dungeons with it.

It does suck when things die too fast or if pulls get way too big. But my with my talent set up I’m still having a blast.

Every class gets better as you get to 70, it’s just a matter of degree.

Shadow can be fun and I like that during voidform/PI things get fast but it’s only temporary so it’s not always that fast.

Shadow crash is pretty annoying. If things die too quickly it feels like poo. If things live a long time it’s just fine but I wouldn’t say great. I’m also a bit unsure of whether I was supposed to manually dot anything over target cap or just start blasting single target.

Levelling it in dungeons was actually kinda fun, though. Trash mobs were meh but I got to go ham on bosses and really make up for it on dps there.

I only dabbled though. I have no dog in that race on where it should or could go next.

Shadow priest is unique in its endgame because of the way it interacts with endgame things like dungeons and raids and the means it does damage. A lot of people will give current shadow flack but I enjoy it a lot.

The other thing to remember is the entire game is going to feel samey until you get at cap, get your stat values, and get comfortable with various things like setup, proper damage rotation, etc.

What class doesn’t feel clunky at 41

I’ve been a shadow main for 5 years now. This is the first season I haven’t played it. the 10.1 rework completely screwed them over. Revert shadow back to 10.0.7, and LEAVE IT. It was perfect. 3 viable builds within 3-4% of each other, good aoe, good ST, and good hybrid healing.

I feel like SP’s dots are few but hit very hard! I kinda like it that way though. Makes it feel worth it to hit those buttons! I got touch and SWP cast on me in a BG and was surprised at the sheer damage they were dealing to me.

WTB 2 charges of ‘Shadow-Crash’ and for it to land faster (tanks moving stuff out of its landing zone is infuriating). :sob:

That’s just a bandaid fix. Something maybe updated in a game patch mid expansion.

Since TWW development is occuring, I think it would be best to focus on the bigger picture and actually replace Shadow Crash with a completely different spell to trigger dot application that doesn’t have the multi point list of issues Shadow Crash has inherently or address multi dotting in a different manner altogether.

I just meant for a start, not a “And that’s all.” ordeal, lol

I deleted mine.

rezzed my lock…
