Shadow Priest DPS rotation way to complex

I’m not liking the shadow priest dps rotation setup at all. It’s just way too many buttons to press trying to keep up with resulting in doing low dps all the time along with mechanics in raids. Whoever thought this would be a great idea is deeply mistaken.

Something needs to change because it just doesn’t feel right having close to 12 buttons to keep dps up and stay alive. If I have to follow an add-on just to press this button next then do this it really sucks following a program instead of enjoying how I used to play without that kind of hassle. Even after learning the new rotation better I still don’t like it.
And for talent trees there’s no real options it’s more like pick this for single target, pick this for aoe, and pick this for mythic plus. I was more happy playing just doing dots, mind flay, mind blast and having a few extras for more power but this is beyond whack with all these changes.

If it’s too hard why not play something easier?

Mind Spike: Insanity also needs to become instant cast, takes way too long.

It looks like the recent Shadow Priest rework that was supposed to address button bloat was a failure if people are still complaining about having too many buttons.

Maybe because they like the class and just want to post feedback on the forums?

The class got a rework recently

Oh, so it makes sense maybe someone comes and posts feedback on it. Thank you

I played Shadow Priest before the change and it wasn’t really that bad. Annoying when Void was up but manageable.

Monks though. That startup is starting to peeve me off bad. Why are there so many freaking 1-3 minute cooldowns on the dang GCD? Like come on.

You don’t have to follow a program on what to press though OP.

If it’s something you’d want to stick with I’d start with the WoWhead easy mode guide and follow the rotation there.

Somethings are worth tracking like your major CDs and have enemy nameplates up for DoTs.

True, and also… Windwalker Monk with 10-12 button rotation says hi :smiley:

Cool story. There’s like 36 (or something like that)!other specs you can try out.

I just used the M+ build and followed the directions on what they told me. I don’t feel like I have too many buttons at all. :dracthyr_shrug:

You know there’s a Priest forum right?

Also if it’s too complex for you there’s multiple other classes you can play like maybe hunter is more for you.

They’re aiming to reduce the button bloat for SP next patch so you might want to check out the PTR notes. If you don’t like what you see, maybe it’s best to reroll.

Would you kindly post a link , if you can, to this. I can’t seem to find it. Not even googling it helps.

Thank you for your time.

You guys need to go play WW and then come back and tell me other specs have button bloat.

We all have a lot of buttons to press, but for some specs they are not always needed, for others they are, Shadow is certainly a not needed button rotation class where you have 40 buttons and only need 8 of them.
