Whatever helps our class out. I don’t want to be forced to switch my main after all the horrible experienced i’ve already had on shadow priest. You know, the lack of dps for Raszageth and there for lack of invites. Lack of invites in mythic keys from 10+, you never see demon hunters or rogues doing 1-9 key, they did like 8, and then they did 10+ 22 times or so, and then above 15 key because they’re so OP Meta. How many seasons must shadow priest suffer? I can’t believe Blizzard isn’t payin gme to play their shadow priest.
But we cant be buffed because of PI. So yea…feelsgreatman.jpg
Shadow Crash DoT Application is Inconsistent
Sometimes when casting Shadow Crash the DoT refresh will not prioritize targets without DoTs or not apply them at all to any targets.
Unsure exactly how to reproduce but we have various cases where the DoT application and refresh behavior of Shadow Crash is not always working as expected. The following cases have been observed:
- Z axis issues can cause it to not hit or DoT any targets
- It can damage targets but not apply or refresh any DoTs
- Not prioritizing targets that do not have Vampiric Touch active over targets that already do
This is hard to find specific examples but will but clips/logs here when it happens:
Okay, thank goodness I thought I was going crazy last week in an SBG. Three times I cast shadowcrash, watched it land, and nothing got dotted. I couldn’t figure out what was going on since I was sure it landed on the mobs (vs, say, accidentally going on the ceiling). It hasn’t happened since I have not changed how I play so I have no idea what could have caused it.
Thanks for testing this Mr. Publik.
Would be great if shadow priest didnt get removed from shadow form when being passenger on dragonriding.
With the release of 10.0.7 there is a new bug with Mind Spike and Mind Melt.
When hard casting a Mind Spike there is a 30-40ms delay between the spell hitting the enemy and gaining the buff stack for Mind Melt. This causes a lot of frustration if you are trying to queue a Mind Blast that should be instant cast when getting 2 stacks, but not getting it as instant.
This does inadvertently fix another bug with Mind Melt where a queued instant cast Mind Spike with Surge of Darkness would not grant a stack of Mind Melt, but not sure if that was intended.
My damage is significantly lower with whatever change was made today. I’ve gone from an average of like 80-90k on Raz to 55k. Feels bad man. This plus the blender cluster that is being done to us for 10.1… I think I’m going to have to hang my shadow hat.
A new bug has popped up today where Insidious Ire behaving inconsistently.
Game Version:
10.2.0 live Build 52095
Description:
The Insidious Ire talent gives you a buff when you have all 3 DoTs active on any target (Shadow Word: Pain, Vampiric Touch, and Devouring Plague). What we have noticed is that this buff is falling off when it should not be, and in the combat log we can clearly see that it is not working correctly.
Details:
What seems to be happening is that every time there is a DoT refresh event the buff is expired and then applied again soon after. This can cause windows where the increase is not being applied properly.
Logs, Images, Videos
Combat Log Example
From the log you can clearly see something odd is happening.
Here is a screenshot where you can clearly see that the player has all 3 DoTs active, but the buff is entirely missing:
Reproducible:
If you hit a target dummy normally you should be able to catch this behavior, although depending on the latency hitting the server it seems to be difficult to perceive without recording a video or looking at a combat log.
Where is my purify button? It’s not in my spellbook anywhere. Clearly I’m missing something obvious.
