They just need to put DoTs for DoT specs up like 300-500% of instant / burst damage abilities since they’re always spread out over longer periods of time. Scaling does get in the way, but I mean, you can easily reduce that with “Beyond X targets, damage reduced by Y” and then further it with another “Beyond X, reduced by Y” once more where first X would be 1 or 2 targets, Y there is 10%. Next X is 3 or 4 targets, Y is another 10%, and just keep going with small nerfs like this to help curve the damage output from scaling out of control.
