Shadow biggest m+ crutch ( easily fixable ) that no1 seems to talk about

Nah it would actually be ideal, dots dont do that much damage anymore even if they decided to buff VT and SW:P by like 50% most pulls got small adds with them that just die quickly so those dots even buffed would not make SP op, what it would do on the other hand is let you use your shadow crash once and then nuke the target with highest hp not having to worry about dots being applied only to 8 targets, couple that with a talent to reduce shadow crash cd per target hit and with literally no amount of work you got a fluid spec on all levels of difficulty.

Totally agreed. Though I have to say, I’m not a fan of Mage and I absolutely detest Warlocks. As far as casters go, Shadow is where it’s at for me, even in the poor shape they’re in. I’d have no worries about a Shadow class feeling like Mage or Warlock at all, the flavor of the spec goes a long way, and there’s room for a third spec that falls outside “caster DPS” if they really wanted to expand to make it different.

My only worry is for those who truly like to heal and dps as Shadow would be forced into two characters instead of the one. I imagine a Holy dps spec would excite many, but not everyone.

Could be cool for this new void/shadow class to have 2 DPS specs and 1 void healer spec. We used to have Shadow Mend back in the day. Kind would be like a backwards Priest. (I guess Disc Priest kind of already shadow heals now, but I’d add a new hero spec to Disc and the new Priest spec that was less void themed, and transfer Voidweaver to the new class probablyyyyy).

Yeah, in this case I’d like to see any shadow magic removed from Disc and have it focus back on damage prevention. Priests dive fully into the holy magic to separate themselves from the new Shadow class who have “strayed too far from the light” or some such.

Just like anyone we put our DoTs on.

To be frank I believe that with the introduction of hero talents we can say goodbye to any new classes coming up in the future, long have they looked for ways to introduce some new cool stuff that does not require a lot of tuning and make classes overly complex with too many buttons to press, which is evident by our new talent trees not being expanded upon and this new system coming which they claim is going to be evergreen.

I think most we can expect now every expac is maybe few more new points added to current hero talents if at all, but more likely just more thematic sets of hero talents like your voidmancer being just another set of hero talents that would play on some other key abilities, over time and several expansions building several different playstyles for every spec and class with the core talents staying pretty much the same.
