Setting our Sights on 2022 for the 15th Anniversary of WoW Esports!

This is not the firs time they have done this. We have been saying for YEARS “stop shoving esports down our throats”

Maybe you could have expected civility 4-5 years ago, but not now.

If someone says “hey, please don’t do that”
“Please stop that”
“Hey, cut it out”
“I said stop”
And you keep on doing it, you don’t get to complain when they then lash out afterward.

I dont think people are complaining about Blizzard communicating with us. Most of us are happy when they do that.

But, y’know, what they say will be either liked or disliked, which are both statements on matters of opinion. Not the method of relaying the information.

Duh. We will stay mad. Don’t complain that we are mad when they shove us what we don’t want and still refuse to communicate.

That is not communication. That is an advertisement for e-sports. Communication would involve reasons for this focus, what they think it will do for the game etc. If they recieved vitriol in response, that shouldn’t be a surprise.

“Celebrating one of the most out of touch things WoW has to offer, and we’ll try to sneak in a way for the community to fund it because we’re too cheap to!” - Blizzard probably

I still remember their last lie from the 2 toys in the shop and their funding for the event. Fool me once blizzard lol.

This advertisement isn’t communication. It’s cute you think it is.

Surely a sign that the esports division is doing extremely well and is very profitable.

So is yelling random expletives on the New York subway, that doesn’t make it useful or good, Yesuna.

Oof.

At this time, there are 7 likes vs. 83 likes on the second post (which is basically a dislike). GG indeed.

Yes, but when players are asking for communication, they are not asking for advertisements. Surely you understand that? I know understanding subtext and implied meaning may be moving us from English 101 to English 102, but surely it’s not too much of a leap?

If my wife says, “I really wish you’d communicate with me,” and my response is, “You know Pelotons are currently on sale, they are a great way to get in shape for the New Year,” how exactly do you think the rest of that conversation is going to go?

Not to mention…every angry forum poster can give up to 50 likes per account.

It’s really are a horrible measure of idea popularity

If the ratio is so artificial, where are all the players jumping for joy and psyched about this announcement? Aside from the career shills, I’ve counted like… 2
