Setting our Sights on 2022 for the 15th Anniversary of WoW Esports!

Has e-sports made this game great yet? Will it ever? This is a great thing to focus on if you want it to keep going downhill.

Let’s rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic while we’re at it.

This has Activision written all over it. It works for our shooter, so let’s make all our games e-sports. Even the ones that it makes no sense to. :sob:

Problem is, they’re going about it entirely the wrong way. Wow is first and foremost an RPG.

Which means they should be making an Esport out of Trial of Style.

Wow e-sports never skyrocketed. Make WoW FOR GAMERS, not for esports and investors!!!

This. What point is there in continuing to play this game when they still actually think people want this garbage. If they are determined to keep on this miserable path to the bitter end, it’s might be time for me to find another hobby.

I don’t even see how doing an e-sports push benefits investors, since it just loses them money.

I meant alongside changes to the game being grindier then ever(for investors, they also changed dungeons to fit e-slorts design instead of being made for fun.

*Youtube.

I like the casters, and try to support them, but these have gotten harder to watch the last couple seasons. No need for me to be brutal given that all the folks ahead of me took care of that, but please find a way to improve PvP friendliness across the board.

I would play your game SO much more if PvP wasn’t such a slog to progress through (especially for altoholics) like it is at the moment.

Esports do not belong in WoW for two reasons. The first being that the game is never going to be balanced on the basis that people have different gear levels and stats. The second being that any good or interesting gameplay change brought to the game will be nitpicked and torn to shreds by the elitists who feel entitled to a disproportionate amount of attention thanks to your esports push.

if they want to compete just give them 1 class, the e-sport class lol and a gear template so its pure skill. isnt that what they want to show anyway? that theyre more skilled?

Not really. They may be pushing esports because it fits into their future plans of turning wow into a tiny hardcore esports lobby game with a cult following.

While I appreciate them offering to pay people to play WoW, I’m not really sure why they are bothering with this. If they want to pay anyone to play, how about they give everyone a free month’s sub who has an active sub on the anniversary to thank them for their loyalty.

I doubt anyone would boo that… :ribbon:

See a lot of familiar faces from the chore whine threads here~ So no “chores”, no E-sports, no grinds, no player power tied behind time-gates, no time-gates…

What should we do in the game exactly? Stand around Limsa Lominsa Goldshire ERPing and wait for rewards to rain from the sky, so that we can log out again?

I mean we all kinda knew it was true that they absolutely do not care but I think this pretty much confirms it. Sad times.

Thank you for making it crystal clear that this game is not going to change for the better. It makes things simpler.
