And yet you don’t see me advocating to open lots of servers.
Say we open with 10 servers.
Say 2 months down the road were higher then expected population. Open an extra server.
Don’t go ham mode on it. Do it slowly and controlled.
On the contrary, I think it would make Classic look like it’s something a lot of people want because a lot of people are willing to wait to get in - just like they did during Classic and TBC launches.
Even still, I don’t care how it looks to anyone else. I only care how it plays and feels like it once did - which was the best game I have ever played.
It’s entirely assuming the idea that servers may be over-populated during events like AQ Gate. The offchance that Classic may be too successful compared to Blizzard expectations.
And yet that’s what this thread is discussing.
What if 2 to 3 months down the road classic is more popular then expected and more people are sticking around.
Have you played ESO? It has loading screens galore. If you want to quickly switch to an alt to craft something, and then switch back you will be waiting several minutes. For what it’s worth, the pvp is good when Ping doesn’t get you.
Waiting in queue, or loading screens, or whatever are worth it for a good game. That’s why people keep playing these games.
BfA has hardly any waiting, and people left it in droves. I don’t think a reasonable wait time will adversely affect anything for a good game.
The problem is that many people – the ENTIRE population – being crammed into a single zone, just like before, and maxing out databases and causing servers to repeatedly crash. Again.
Knock that crap out Fesz. I told you already that an attitude like that does not help anyone.
Those of us who have played can also turn the tables and talk about your lack of playing all these years. . except. . possibly in other “off the book” ways. Which… what kind of leg is that to stand on.
Also. . man. . come on… I have read these forums just like you and I do not think I have heard one person say they where PRO sharding ALL THE time!!
You are taking a bias against those of us who have played for one reason or another to a high degree of shaming and classism.
Can’t we all just get along…WE ALL WANT CLASSIC. You do NOT hold any special want or need for it more than any one else.
As opposed to a level 10, 30 achievement point character?
Its not about convenience, it’s about the greater desire to have Classic succeed. If you make tourists sit at the door for hours on end, we lose any chance of gaining new players who aren’t diehard classic fans.
I did previously mis-word a post where I in fact said “in perpetuity.” It wasn’t what I actually meant, and I was frankly getting stressed out after trying and failing to reason with people like him.
Naturally that’s just given him all the ammunition he requires.
