Haha well, idk but worked fine for me >.< sry fellow rogue
Iâll try again, but I have not had Vanish removed Mark since I started this character. I even sprinted away, used Preparation and vanished again while the gang of 14 60s ran me downâŚ
Maybe im just unlucky with lag or something
I understand what you stated, and very clearly.
If they indeed vanish as itâs being applied (assuming at the same time) then vanish is given the priority and SS is âimmuneâdâ
This is how vanish worked in Vanilla, I use to duel my brother who mainâd a rogue outside IF for hours at a time and vanish is suppose to âimmuneâ spells that are in flight or just make contact as vanish is applied.
Even the actual vanilla patch notes clearly spell it out as I remember it being played out.
From Vanilla patch 1.1.0 https://wowwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Patch_1.1.0
The bolded part is incorrect. What Vanish does is remove effects like Hunterâs Mark and Mind Vision, and go stealthed (not invisible; a warlockâs Detect Invisibility will not detect a stealthed rogue, a hunterâs Track Hidden will).
I suspect Hunterâs Mark will show a rogue who has gone into stealth without using Vanish, or a succubus who has cast Invisibilityâand if youâre accurately quoting the tooltip, what it says technically applies only to the succubus, not to the rogue.
Gnome is literally the worst race in the game for warrior + rogue, and not even that good for mages.
No, itâs not.
No, itâs not.
Serpent sting isnât a spell. Itâs a poison.
Once again, Serpent sting is not a spell. Itâs a poison.
This isnât 2005. Youâll find that most rogues worth their salt are going to carry a stack of [Jungle Remedy] purely to remove serpent sting/devouring plague.
I havenât been brought out of stealth by a viper sting once this xpac come to think of it, itâs just standard procedure for me to pop those when fighting a hunter and you can find them on the AH for 20s/per all the time.
Unfortunately that is probably what is happening, itâs not a bug, itâs just a meta.
It is a missile ability that applies a poison effect [debuff, DoT]. Applying that patch note as it is written; Vanish cast after Serpent Sting is loosed, but before it connects with the Vanishing Rogue, the Serpent Sting should fail to hit the Rogue.
Regardless of the school of magic itâs still going to be âimmuneâ by the rogue if he uses vanish at the correct time.
Rogues can âimmuneâ darn near anything, including other rogues kidney shot, blind, my range attacks, frost bolts, shadow bolt, pyroblast, etc, etc, etcâŚ
Does not matter what spell school, be that mechanical or magic or poison the rogue will be immune to the incoming attack be that melee or ranged.
