It is not an alternate form of progression that is sufficient in and of itself as was originally advertised, and is commonly understood with that term in the WoW community.
Let’s try to understand what each other is saying rather than being dismissive towards each other.
No you cannot, It will require gear which will require a group to obtain. Unless Torghast offers the gear needed to progress to the later floors without having to do group content?
I haven’t bought my way through, but I did 2 solo runs and was bored before I finished the second one. It’s pretty repetitive.
The other issue is the cycle the wings go through. For some these 2 wings offer the best chance at a legendary trait and they don’t want to wait (5 weeks I heard) for another shot.
some people just can’t do it. i play with one such. has made me a better player, much much better healer, but i can’t do half the content when i play with them. you try getting better when you have constant vertigo.
now, that’s not to say there isn’t a large chunk of players that just dont’ care and want everything handed to them yesterday, but she spends more time and effort doing simple things we can do in our sleep than we would put into clearing mythic raids.
In fairness, the main reason people buy boosts is because the content isn’t fun. If they found Torghast enjoyable they probably wouldn’t pay to not play it.
More or less, if Blizz doesn’t want people to boost they should make good content, but they won’t. After all, those boosts cost gold, and people buy gold with real money- Blizz is making a killing off boosting.
Imagine being this heated because some people don’t like grindy, stupidly long content that’s a required time wall between you and being competitive in areas of the game you actually do like doing. Lol
No one’s stopping you from going and doing whatever gets your rocks off, so whats your problem?
