[Serious] What's the point of a Torghast group?

I usually run enhancement/mistweaver and we generally have little to no issue per run. Bad RNG can kill even the best runs but it also comes down to how you work with your anima powers.

The MW got mostly damaging powers and I got healing last run we did, so we just swapped roles.

Thanks all for the mostly non-snarky responses. The gist I gather is that the main benefit is to help classes that find it more difficult to solo the content. Given that I tend to like to take my time, explore every corner, and smash every vase… I’ll stick with solo.

Admittedly, I’m slower than molasses in January. I use a lot of CC where possible to only have to attack one mob at a time. I do find it odd that Bliz would create a dungeon that penalizes a class that has an ‘easier time’ solo’ing for wanting to help others in a group.

the point is: some classes can’t solo

No real reason unless your class struggles. It can be fun to hang with friends and do the run though.

Try a class that can’t heal on demand, Mage for example.

i prefer duos over full groups tbh

Get a 40 man raid going in there and you will get the best gear ever.

People running with friends/family but some people probably run in groups so its “Easier” than just being by yourself, I might do it with someone I know since I’m struggling a bit on it with my Rogue.

No rogue spec can solo. Other classes can’t solo.

Everything up the last boss is a breeze but that’s about it.

Some classes, like hunter, are completely garbage at completing some of the final bosses in torghast. It was impossible for me to solo layer 6 on floor 6 this week of Coldheart, even at ilvl 189. He eventually becomes immune to taunt and CC…impossible to kite, and the anima power options given to me barely helped my DPS. Wasted an hour and a half for nothing lol.

At 104 you should be destroying that place.

If you go in a group, does everyone get the Anima Powers or do you have to split them? Not that I have any friends, but it’s something I get curious about occasionally.

Literal only way to do boreghast without getting bored to death.

whats the point of Torghast in general? its a terrible system, horribly boring and not fun at all, it was promised to be a very replayable system but yet its not , its a horribly slow system that offers little to no rewards for the stupid amount of time it takes, and yeah it gets worse if you want to bring friends along.

To be honest I’d love to try it.

How high would it scale? How insane would the powers be? How crazy would fighting in some of the small areas be?

Some people like playing with their friends.

The end bosses don’t seem to scale up all that much. There’s only so many mechanics you can rewrite and you can quickly over-power the end boss.

The problem with a group is getting there.

Go in a 5-group and the trash by the front door is a littler HARDER than the end boss will be solo… And that will likely be the easiest trash pull in the place.

One single Leeroy in your group and it’s a sudden wipefest. A healer just slightly slow and it’s a wipefest. A tank that pulls more than a single mob and you’re possibly looking at a wipefest. Anybody slow on interrupts and… wipefest. Tiny lag-spike and wipefest…

It’s better to go solo, get to floor three, look at the image of the boss that will be on floor 6, and if it’s one your class can’t solo… re-roll. Start the place over again.

If you’ve got a steady 5-person team you run content with, do that. But don’t PUG this thing in a group.

Well you see, some classes are currently incapable of doing torg alone. Take rogues for example, have fun trying to get through the higher layers on a rogue solo

Friends like to group up. Who knew?

I quite enjoy having perma meta with the Eye Beam loop anima power tho.
