Have been getting wow51900328 error all weekend and now today. Can;t get passed Server selection screeen
VPN did not fix the issue; changing my TTL to match Window’s value fixed it for me. The consensus is: Linux users were collateral damage by blackholing traffic w/ a different TTL on their IPv4 packets.
The takeaway?: Hire some engineers that know *nix.

Here’s the thing. My wife can log on no problem without using a VPN etc. She is on the same network, same internet, same router etc. as me. The ONLY difference was that she was NOT on when the big crash happened yesterday afternoon.
I was. I received several “Transfer failed, Instance not found” messages and then lights out. Have not been able to log on since.
I saw some ppl used a command to increase the length of time packets could be sent and that worked. It did not for me. I had to download a VPN in order to log on. Now with that said, I understand that this was an outside attack etc. But it’s not certain types of internet affected as proof by me and others who cannot get on without the help of a VPN while living in the same house as others that can. So that points to certain users/accounts that were effected and not the broader internet connection.
I would just like to know if Blizzard reacted to the attack by flagging/banning whatever term you want to use the accounts that were active during the attack or the accounts that were logged in during the attack. If so, no biggie but say so , I’ve wasted hours trying to figure out what the problem might be on my end and it turns out it’s not on my end at all. As proven by the fact that my wife can get on without the use of the commands or the VPN and she is on the same exact connection I am.
Thanks again, but some specific communication would be much appreciated.
Ever since the ddos issue ive been able to connect but my ping has gone up by 200 and will not go down even after the ipconfig /renew, /refresh /reset commands in the command prompt. I am connecting via VPN, please help!
