honestly, as awful as it sounds I’m with you because ya… that’s EXACTLY what it looks and feels like.
and the fact that they are hyping the streams and just apologizing for the fact the rest of us can’t get in… it just feels sus. even if it’s not.

I don’t know how I can put this nicely, but not all players are created equally. This truth works exactly the same way in the real world. Like it, love it, hate it: your sub nets on average exactly $15/month. Big streamers net significantly more money to Blizzard, and they would be stupid not to accommodate them.

Blizz can either give us our money back or seriously compensate us for this garbage. They had 18 years to get it right and each xpac is worse at start than the last. But curse in game and youre banned.
This is absolutely a thing. Literally not even debateable lol. Whitelisting select accounts is nothing new and nowhere near questionable. The same way certain platforms can enable people like streamers to have access to certain tools, gaming companies can whitelist login accounts for things like priority queues, separate login instances (to the same servers), etc.
I guess I thought this was beyond common knowledge, but maybe it is just due to working in tech for so long.

Probably because they don’t want anymore “Asmongold Whining Over Launch Issues” videos. They made the right call here.
Maybe different UPC codes or the online equivalent get different forms of the same game… because a fair contest makes no sense at all, apparently
